BYU Football 2012

Blackout? Why are they doing a blackout? If they did a whiteout 98% of their team would be invisible. Why are they copying the Utes?

Wait... I guess all of the fans would be invisible. The only way ESPN would know the stadium is filled is by listening to the millions of gallons of ice cream being dumped down the shake traps of thousands of BYU coeds consoling themselves that Jimmer is married. They could also hear the crunching of 30 acres worth of kettle corn being funneled through their pie holes and lusting after Bronco and Riley holding hands in the hot sauna. Bronco needs to come out and admit he is in love.

I have also heard that Lark completely sucks. He was a great QB in high school for sure. I know the WRs like him better than Riley.

Based on a quarter of play against Weber St. Lark throws a much better ball than Nelson. More velocity and a tighter spiral. Makes a 10 yard out a part of the offense. Don't know if he move around in the pocket to buy time. But he doesn't turn the ball over much- it would be a net positive in my book.

I don't think it takes a doctor to tell you that playing a reckless, turnover prone, running QB with no arm, with a fractured vertebrae, is a bad idea.

If anything, Lark should have been starting for years now.

BYU having Hoffman, Apo, and Friel while playing with a QB incapable of getting the ball into their hands is the equivalent of rolling out the Dream Team with a PG like Steph Marbury or Monta Ellis.

I don't care how injured Riley might or might not be. I don't care about leadership or courage or long hair and abs.

Just play the QB who doesn't turn the ball over and who can get the ball to the hands of our playmakers. I've never seen a BYU offense underachieve so much as this offense. You might possibly have the most talented WR/TE core in history and we're completely incapable of getting them the rock when we play Riley.... And lets face it, Doman isn't helping things with calling out so many option runs...

Could you imagine how lethal this offense would be right now if Anai and Max Hall were here? Max probably isn't even considered a top 5 QB in BYU history and Anai was essentially fired. Yet, both these guys are lightyears ahead of what we have right now. BYU would be undefeated and probably a top 15 team had Max been QB and Anai been OC.

Great post.... i agree with pretty much all of it. Except maybe the part that says most talented wr/te core in history..... I agree abour the WR part, but i dont think we can put friel into the TE part yet. Pitta, harline, lewis, mili all better imo. Plus if holt, mahina, and wilson didn't get hurt then friel wouldn't even be playing.
Still a great post though.

Every report I hear is that Lark is really bad. I have heard he throws about the same as Riley and has lead feet.

I know that he throws better than riley (at least as far as arm strength) just by going to scrimmages and pre- game warmups it is obvious.

Ugli's 5 year old step daughter throws better than Riley.

Ugli's projectile vomit after Yewt games goes farther than a Riley pass.
Maybe Riley should start throwing using his diaphragm muscles? Ugly, you are the expert, would this work?

I say we switch Kuresa back to qb and play him, or move one of the kickers to QB... but only if they have 3 yrs of eligibility remaining after this year.

I'm not going to sugarcoat this... but... I'm not very excited about watching Riley play against Oregon St, or NDame, or anyone else for that matter... but he is scrappy, and Matt Harpring played football in college.

Anybody but riley is what im thinkin

Not quite... they are tied in to the 2013 November game at Wisconsin... so basically a 2 for one. Don't know which month the 17 and 18 games will be in.

From what I'm hearing on the radio, it sounds like they will also be in November.

That would be nice to play someone decent late in the year instead of pansies. I'm ok with it if it works out in November.

I could see them as 2 separate deals, the one away game to Wisc on short notice to get a good team on the schedule, then the home and home in 17 & 18 as a separate deal... but I can also see them as a 2 for 1 and a gap between the games.

Ugly Moran, try google... google ESPN. Then go to the NCAA FB page and scan the articles. If you still can't find it you might consider finishing your H.S. degree.
