I feel as though I have been challenged to make this league awesome, and I'm gonna do just that.
Howevar, for it to be awesome everyone who signs up will have to be somewhat on the same awesomeness page and if someone is not up for awesomeness they will be kicked the fuzz out of the league prior to the draft.

To expound upon this, I've run a fantasy basketball league and sometimes 2 a year for the last 8 years and 2 or 3 football leagues a year for the last 8 years too. I'm gonna try and think of some things that will make the league fun and I'll ask for input on some things when I'm setting it up, but I'll likely go with what I think is best because I've been in some awesome leagues, and some really crappy ones, and feel like I know what I'm doing. I think we can make this league awesome because we all know basketball and obviously have fun talking **** to each other. The key is to find ways to make the league fun and challenging, but not tedious.
I don't know for sure how the league will be set up, but this is a basic outline in my head.
Standard scoring and Rosters (if you've never played before either read about it or I'll explain later)
Keeper League I dont know how many people I want to have us keep, but making it a keeper league makes it feel like your real team and makes you think more about roster choices.
$Money Buy-in$ There will for sure be a buy in, or else people lose interest. My idea is to make it a $50 buy in. This will give us enough money to play around with to have creative ways to win money throughout the season (not just at the end of the year) and I also have some ideas with money to incentivize people to stick around year to year.
More teams the better I think with a league like this, it will be more fun the more teams we have. If we could get 16 teams that would be awesome.
No tedious roster changes I have a couple ideas of how to make it so you dont have to toy with your roster too much. Obviosly you want to manage it a decent amount, since thats the game, but it shouldn't be a chore. I'll figure something out.
I have some other cool ideas but don't want to start freaking people out, so I'll roll those out later. Trust me when I say the league will be fun and engrossing but not confusing or tedious.
