Can Rudy beat the W's?

I still have faith in Lyles. I really think Quin was playing mind games with him down the stretch. - "you aren't playing until you can prove that you do x, y, and z." He didn't want him to fail in the playoffs and lose confidence. And he had to play JoeJ to keep him happy and Diaw too for that matter.

If Hayward leaves, Lyles and Bolomboy will be given the chance to emerge. I think they can.

Injuries can happen any time. Nobody is beating a healthy dubs team anytime soon, but injuries seem to be more and more common in the NBA, so nothing is hopeless.

They will also be deep in the tax pretty soon. Curry is only making 12 million this year, and is worth 35 in this market. I think he said he'd be willing to take a pay cut to keep the team together, but I'm guessing his idea of a pay cut will be much closer to 35 than 12.

Also, if KD gets the FMVP and is taking the spotlight, don't be surprised if that starts to wear thin with Curry and Green. My guess is Clay is already a little worn over his decreased role on the team. I think we could see a rock band type blowout between 2 or more players at some point. At least I hope so.

I think it's pointless to try to build your team to beat the Warriors. Make a team that can beat everyone else, and then hope the BBall gods shine on you once you get to the Warriors.

If Hayward leaves Hill follows,Jazz are going to have to accelerate Dante Exum's timeline forward. Gobert in the paint and Exum at the top of the key becomes the key and direction of the Jazz going forward.Continuity and growing your own has payed dividends for the Jazz witnessing the growth of Hayward and Gobert. If injuries hadn't slowed down Favors,Burks,Exum and Hood the chances of losing Hayward wouldn't have even been a worry as Jazz would be a force already.Losing Hayward and Hill will be a big blow but not the end of Jazz being playoff contenders,Jazz still have a whole team full of young talent that know how to win.

C) Gobert 7'1"

This team they have all been team mates for 3 yrs plus on a 51 (W) team. Toss in a healthy Burks 6'6" backing up Hood and Ingles.Add a more experienced Lyles 6'10" as the stretch 4 and that's 2 more Jazz team mates with 3 plus yrs together. That's 7 players with none in their prime but Joe Ingles that have been team mates 3 plus yrs together.

For the 24th pick : Until (C)Jonathon Jeanne 7'2" is said to totally out ,I'd still take him ...Isaac Austin resumed his career in Europe so Jeanne is not ruled out yet and therefore would be a great backup for Gobert if he Can Play.

Finally sign (PG)Milos Teodosic 6' 5",the guy can play and would be great sharing (PG) duties with Exum

We're getting Butler on draft night.

Lebron will move to SLC after next season. He's gunna take the MLE(dudes got srs Nike money).

Hill, Butler, Hayward, James, Gobert

Let's simplify : if the Cavs had Gobert they would have a real chance of beating those Warriors, would actually be favorites. But that would still require a starting 5 with Lebron, Irving, Love and Gobert.. not easily found !

The Warriors are going through the playoffs like the proverbial hot knife through butter. It took an epic effort by the Cavs to beat them in one game. It is pretty clear that you are going to out-Warrior the Warriors. No one is going to be able to assemble a similar team of super talented smalls to beat them in the near future. Of course things happen, and I don't seem them winning every title for the next 5 years, but they could and they will be impossible to beat if they keep it together.

So the Jazz are about the only team going the other way. They are going big with Rudy as the key. Rudy is currently the only unique and transcendent talent we have, and the one to build around.

Can it work? Can the Jazz go big and beat the W's? What will it take? How do the Jazz counter the other team going with a 3 ball shooting big to draw Rudy out? Can they? Now I am not saying Rudy is sufficient to have a chance to win it all, and we will need many other talented players. Exum will also be key, and if he can reach his full potential he could be a big factor.

But the Jazz have put their fate in the hands of Rudy. Can it work?

Healthy rudy can beat the original dream team!

so he can beat the warriors with his hands tied behind his BACK

Just swapping Love with Gobert should significantly increase CLE's ability to compete with GSW (though it likely wouldn't be nearly enough). By surrounding LBJ with scorers/shooters, CLE is basically playing into GSW's hand. Both teams have multiple elite offensive options but GSW has multiple 2-way players & arguably the most versitale/valuable defender in the league, opposed to CLE who has LBJ & 2 fairly one-dimensional supporting stars.

Even though the talent level is reasonably(ish) comparative, CLE lacks the type of players with the necessary skill-sets likely required to truly compete (especially now with the addition of KD). Top-tier talent, specific complimentary specialists, & a strong sense of leadership/continuity are all qualities likely necessary to potentially get past GSW. As well as some serious luck. Regardless, unfortunately, the only true threat to GSW over the next few years is most likely GSW (potential financial restrictions, disgruntled players, injuries, etc).

I think Gallinari is bigtime underated, you know he shoots one of the top FT% in the history of the league? Over 90% He's 6'10 I think he'd have an advantage over Draymond. Here's my squads 3 pt%

Mason 45%
Hill 40%
Hayward 40%
Gallinari 40%
Gobert Doesn't matter

If GS was off, Gobert cleaned up the rebounds, maybe an injury to Durant, I think this lineup is GOLD!! Also GS is going to loose someone when they pay Curry. So far Curry is personally bankrolling that squad by only accepting like what 14 mil? That's going to change.

Getting a 4 like Jokic might be an answer. Dude is like Boris in prime years but better. That would give us shooting, spacing, size and passing. Obviously it is a not going to happen as Denver would not trade Jokic for anything we can offer outside of Hayward and Gobert. Maybe Favors, Exum and some pick? Would Denver be stupid enough to do it?

I don't get the love affair with Jeanne. He's not nearly as long as Gobert, weighs less than most point guards, and wasn't even good in Europe. Now he has a career threatening disease and people still want to draft him. WTF
