Can the C.J. Miles experiment please end?

Pffft. Now that is BS. He shoots less than 50% from within 10 feet of the basket. He has taken 9 shots from between 4 and 6 feet of the basket and missed them all*. He has been blocked 9 times, but only been fouled while shooting 13 times, and only three of those for an "and 1". He has dunked exactly once all season, and that was off a D-Will pass.

In defense of your position, he has committed two offensive charges all season, both against Miami. To be fair, he actually was going hard to the basket against Miami, and with some success apart from those two times, but that game was definitely the exception. In fact, being exceptional is what made me notice his play, but unfortunately he has since reverted to his old ways.

* Caveat: all these numbers are taken from the ESPN play-by-play. Six shots are listed without any distance, only one of which was a made shot - it is thus possible that he has made 1-10 from this range. OTOH, the 5 misses could easily all be from the same distance, too. Or they could all be layups. BTW, he's 13-21 on layups.

As far as the boxscore analysis goes, Miles is currently sitting at an eFG of 54% in close (with dunk numbers not added) according to 82games. And apparently he's been blocked on 8% of those attempts which is a very low number. The irony is he doesn't get blocked that often because he's trying so hard to get the shot up unblocked. His maturation will come when he realizes getting the contact and accepting the blocks will help. Like a lot of kids, he doesn't want to miss, he doesn't want to get blocked, and his mentality is making everything, not "accepting" misses that don't get called. It's a process.

Anyone wasting time watching games has seen Miles drive consistently to the hole in every game. Those same people wasting time watching games are also seeing the development of his passing game on those drives in addition to making shots. I've been very impressed by his decision making in driving and passing whether it leads to a boxscore assist or not. But that's only because I waste LOTS of time watching all the games.

https://www.nba.com/jazz/stats/ 37/27 not 54%. I suppose one way to make him a good player is to invent stats. He is soft driving to the basket.

I've got bad news for you - I have NBA League Pass, I do watch the games. My opinion - that he does not attack the rim, and that he does not have a passing game - is a result of watching these games. I have seen him dribble into the paint, pull up when he encounters a defender, jack-knife into the air, and try to flip in an off-balance shot from five feet and miss enough times to realise he has a fear of contact. I have seen him catch the ball on the right wing, dribble across the key to the left block, and flip up a hook shot just to avoid contact. I have rarely seen him drive and challenge defenders, crash the boards for a rebound, or pass off the dribble, or do any of these other things you claim he can do.

But the difference between my subjective opinion and your subjective opinion from watching the games is I can find objective evidence in the play-by-play and the boxscore that confirms what I see.

Taking it to the rack requires elite strength? Dang, I thought it took hops. You better not tell Jeremy Evans or he will start to miss all those dunks: guy's as thin as a rail, certainly not elite strength. LOL

CJ is the only jazzman outside of Deron who can dribble drive effectively. So what if he shoots floaters versus dunks? he dunks when the opportunity arises. Oh, I know, you want Brewer back? He could sure dunk. Nothing else, but he could dunk.

That's retarded on so many levels. We're talking about driving into contact and drawing fouls, not catching a pass under the basket and jumping.

Besides, how do you know Brewer isn't stronger than CJ? Have you been in their weight room? If you haven't then you're just spouting off. Brewer looks and plays stronger than CJ. Enough said.

If your silly hops theory had any merit then Spidaman and the rest of the "And 1" team would be NBA elites instead of a traveling sideshow. They're not, and your theory doesn't.

hahahahahahahahahahahaha. Yet your the one with only one subject for 100% of your posts and can't even remember the name of the other players. As evidenced by your calling somebody on the team Rice. Who is Rice by the way? Can you name 20 players that have been on this team over the last 3 years without looking it up? Can you name 3 players on the camp roster that did not make the cut? Didn't think so because their name is not Miles.

With 95% of your total posts in either this thread or the other Cj bashing thread from a while back you are the very definition of a troll.

CJ Exposed I noticed on another thread that CJ miles himself responded on facebook with hahahahahahahahahahahaha. Look familiar? gregbroncs and his buddies are CJ Miles and his relatives. This explains the absurd defense and claims of hate. CJ you are a looser on and off the court.

Yep you got me. I must be CJ. Even though I post sometime while he's on the floor. Your a hater plain and simple. You bring nothing to the board besides your stupid, moronic blind hatred.

Explain in hater terms how you spin CJ being in for every run for the last 6 games. I'm really curious how your hater mind will wrap itself around that FACT. He is also the ONLY player on the team that can say that. I'm not saying he is solely responsible but wow it's an extreme case of luck if he is not at least partially responsible. If he is so bad like you claim shouldn't the team get significantly worse while he plays? Yet they don't they actually get better. Go figure you must just be a hater like I have said.

Exposedl You guys love crying about being hated.

Bonksers, just watching your cousin clank 4 straight shots. I know you love being the victim, so I'm sure this observation must thrill you. Now you can cry about hate and stuff.

good d by cj today though. Then bell lets anthony mrorrow scor 21 points in 2 quarters but yet cjs teh bad defender? lol

Jeezus christ CJ. 1 of ****ing 7?

The clank went 1 for 7 tonight? I'm shocked! I think even Sloan saw that and pulled him. Seven shots in 8 minutes. One lucky one went in. The clank was flipp'n out. Shooting every time he got the ball. It was hilarious.

The Jazz announcers repeatedly mentioned how this team would miss CJ while he was out in the 2nd half. Then they barely beat one of the worst teams in the league at home. Brainslut did you ignore that he was injured? Did you not listen when they said he was injured? He was not pulled he did not even come out to the bench in the 2nd half because of an injury.

BTW you are a hater. And I have proven it so you have "exposed" nothing. Your ex lover's BF is in a shooting slump and you have to get over it. He is contributing in other ways and everybody associated with the team seems to get that from the coaches who play him to close games to the announcers who say repeatedly that the team will miss him when he got hurt.

Yeah! He's suffering from a severely strained ego right now. Give him a couple a games and he'll be back shooting 36% and 27% from 3 in no time.

Sheesh... no respect.

Hater ex-girlfriends suck on jazzfanz. Why was CJ dumb enough to date a crazy chick anyway? Buy pillow wall, then buy beer. Cummown CJ. Two simple steps. A pillow wall today keeps the crazy chicks away. And herpes. And their dumb *** Chevy Cavaliers with pimpin 14" rims, loaded with fat friends. And windbreaker hair. And tobacco stains in your pad.

Bonkers, you really are bonkers! So now Clanks 6 year shooting slump has something to do with some ex girl friend or something? Oh and because the announcers say the team will miss him that makes him valuable? Brilliant! How many games do you think the Jazz would win if the entire team was shooting CJ's miserable percentage. The Jazz would have probably lost if CJ had been in the game the second half. I thought Gordon played great in his place.
