DeMarre accepts his nicname the junkyard dog, and knows he isn't a star play but a key player on a championship team .
So he is leaving us next season?

Talk about ultra conservative thinking.
Are peeps really gonna give Marv multiple years. Contracts are shorter under this CBA, Jarrett Jack and Landry both took 1-2 year contracts, and Marvin is worse than them both.
This might be a reason to just let the contracts of Paul and Al expire. Jazz can still be under the luxury tax AND carry Marvin's contract next season. DeMarre has really changed my mind. Although I hate his hair, I'm not being racialist. Carroll was not a reliable shooter last season. But, just like Paul, you can tell he's really worked on his game. If I were Ty (but I'm not, because I can actually look at things logically), I'd start Carroll and let Marvin come off the bench. DeMarre doesn't need touches to impact the game. He wants to start, but he's fine as a 4th option. Have Marvin and Hayward anchor the subs.No...but DeMarre is the type of player you want around your star players, he is the type player that fills out teams that are going to be a contending team. And the Jazz would be wise to resign him over Marvin, because I think a rotation of wings of Hayward, Burks, Foye, and Carroll would be great to have around two bigs of Favors and Kanter's caliber because they soon will be a force to be reckoned with add to that another good young 3rd big (I would prefer to have Millsap as that 3rd big but I dont see him accepting that role), and add to that a young promising point guard and have Mo eventually back him up, thats a pretty darn good team, that I see contending with not any selfish players but players willing to do whats good for the team.
