But if he becomes a FA today because we didn’t extend him for the rest of the season then it compels us to make a trade and I’m not seeing any trade that improves is beyond just resigning House. We don’t have the assets to obtain Barnes or Grant and obtaining Smart for Bogey would be a net loss for us. Not sure why fans think Ainge is the Messiah. He’s not Jerry West and the last I remember was him blowing a bunch of assets to create whatever monstrosity Boston was. All I know is it got Stevens canned and Kyrie couldn’t wait to leave.Maybe Jazz want to make a trade first before signing House for cap purposes
Today. How long do we have before we must extend House For the season or risk losing him to another team?
Soooo… if another team signs him tomorrow, he’s gone and we cannot match, right?Today. His 10 day contract expires today.
That's why I say the Jazz are going to mess this up. It seems to me the housekeeping the Jazz need to do is sign House, move Forrest from a two way to a regular deal and perhaps sign two guys for two way deals. Then they can go play their reindeer games.Soooo… if another team signs him tomorrow, he’s gone and we cannot match, right?
I mean… LOL. To me, if we aren’t closing on a deal that brings Grant here, then resigning House is a no brainer. Especially with Ingles gone.
Right. Exactly. Why aren’t more posters talking about this? Where are the sports writers? Tony Jones, Ben, and Andy are silent. WTF?That's why I say the Jazz are going to mess this up. It seems to me the housekeeping the Jazz need to do is sign House, move Forrest from a two way to a regular deal and perhaps sign two guys for two way deals. House not with the team today.
i
House not with the team today.
He signed 3 10-days to play here. If some other team wanted to sign him, they would have done it by now. We're gonna whiff on House. Dammit.
****, Clarkson might comeback today.
Think we are way past that point.hopefully to play a good game and bump the deplorable trade value he has.
I think they sign him either way.I think the Jazz may be waiting to see if they can pick up Josh Richardson or Josh Hart before they commit to House. It wouldn't hurt to sign him to another 10-day either way though.
If I'm not mistaken, he's already signed a hardship 10 day and two regular 10 days... he cannot be signed another regular 10...I think the Jazz may be waiting to see if they can pick up Josh Richardson or Josh Hart before they commit to House. It wouldn't hurt to sign him to another 10-day either way though.
This is where I am. I wouldn't delay the inevitable if I was the Jazz. I'd actually go the other way and try to get him to sign a two year deal... second year team option... like the Lakers did with Stanley.I think they sign him either way.
Any deal that gets done there will likely be filler attached that can be easily waived to make room for House.
