Carlos Boozer out for 8 weeks right hand

I heard it was actually broken fingernail, which is too tough for Boozer to play through, thus, out for 8 weeks.

:D

You might wanna slow down with "sweet zingers" like that......2 posts in we might expect that level of genius every time!

Boozer suffered the injury on Saturday during the Bulls' day off. According to team sources, Boozer tripped over a bag in his house and fell.

So Booz tripped over one of his bags of cash that he looted from the Bulls. Ironic or Karmic?

This makes a lot more sense. You don't fracture single metacarpals falling very much. The wrist would be sprained if that were the case, unless he landed with a clenched fist with a locked wrist, which is basically a punch anyway.

I'm calling Bull ****. He punched something.

Not quite. Here is the story
https://www.suntimes.com/sports/basketball/bulls/2769536,CST-SPT-bull04.article

''I was running, my doorbell had rang, and I tripped over a bag and fell down and tried to brace myself,'' he said. ''I'm 265 with 5 percent body fat. ... I guess my weight just collapsed my bone.''

The incident can be classified as a fluke, but Boozer's propensity for getting injured was one of the cons listed when the Bulls signed him as a free agent over the summer. He has missed 145 games in eight NBA seasons because of a variety of injuries, including a total of 80 games his first two seasons in Utah.

Funny stuff. The dude tripped over his own bag of loot.

Thibodeau's defense just got better.

Normally, when he falls on the court, he has his teammates to brace himself with (or push out of the way).

....negative! Boozer has NEVER fallen down on a basketball court in his LIFE! You don't hit the floor if your not playing defense.....and I've yet to see an NBA player land there taking turnaround jumpshots fading away from the basket!

Anyone else interested to see what David Locke and Ben Bagley will say today about this? They had their nose in Boozer's panties all year long last year. I guess now they're not obligated to say good things about him... But it sure will be interesting to see how far Locke and Bagley go today.

Actually if he has a boxer's fracture, he really could only get it from punching something. No other way. I know this from personal experience.

I was in a fight club in high school, and punched my buddy in the head pretty hard during a fight. Heard a pop, but I was all juiced on adrenaline and pretty high on weed, I'm sure. I went home, told my mom I slipped on the ice. She took me to the hospital, and the doctor takes one look at my hand and asks me (with my mother standing right there) "Okay kid, who'd you punch?"

ffffff damn i was in some HOT WATER that night, i tell you.

It's the truth. We were fighting behind the old Ft Union Media Play, in the loading dock. I got a cast on for it, and had to play the drums at a school concert with the cast. For shame...but also pretty ****ing awesome.

From the Bulls' point of view, this might likely be seen as addition by subtraction. Boozer's defense is like a sieve, and with him in the lineup I'm sure the Bulls would have been scored on a lot in the paint. With him out (and with Taj Gibson back in the lineup as starting PF) the interior defense just got better.

In short, with Boozer out, I don't think they'll be any worse than they were last year. Whatever that was.

I think the real story is that he was playing a game of basketball with his older kid on one of those small goals and the kid was coming at him and of course Boozer could not actually contest the shot so he tried to get out of the way, but instead he tripped over his bag of looted gold.

I wonder how he's going to find a way to not play the game in SLC. You know he's terrified Ronnie Price is going to go sideways into his grill and get nasty widdit.
