I wish I had watched more or read more about this case to comment but I didn't. I found it odd that her parents took off right after the verdict was read.

Murder 1 on circumstantial evidence is a huge stretch.

But she was also found not guilty of manslaughter and child abuse which tells me the jury didn't believe any part of the prosecution's case.

Yes, it wasn't till her Mom noticed that their grandchild hadn't been around for a while so she started to ask questions. Casey was out partying and everything while her daughter was missing during those 31 days but "Zanny," her nanny, was supposedly had been watching the girl. No one knows where this "Zanny" is

I read they had to go get the car from a tow yard and the dad and the tow guy even said the trunk smelled like a decomposing body. Also some University did some test and used a vacuum to get air from the trunk and it came back positive with evidence of decomposing factors. Everything I've read online makes me believe that the mother did kill her daughter but once again, you can't believe everything online and I haven't researched enough of the case to really take a side.
