Please tell me the Jazz turn AK's expiring into SOMETHING (preferably a 2 or 3 that can make an open jumpshot)

Chad Ford (1:21 PM)

They may have no choice. The Jazz have to show Deron Williams they can be a championship contender or they're in the same boat that Denver was this year and Toronto and Cleveland were last season. No one wants that. Of course, history shows that trying to build a contender at the trade deadline usually backfires. Kirilenko is their best trade chip ... but he also contributes to the team in ways that don't always show in the box score. GM Kevin O'Connor has been reluctant to part with him in the past. However, his hand may be forced a bit by the recent turmoil.

I just thought it was interesting. So I just wonder what kind of offers he is getting or trying to get?

Maybe a trade for G. Wallace? T. Murphy? A Jamison? S. Jackson? B. Diaw? Rip & Prince? Theres not a whole lot to be excited about unless he really pulls off a 2 for 1, to get us some help for the bench. Maybe Rip an Prince, Wallace an Diaw, Diaw an Jackson, Jackson an Wallace? If we just gave up Ak for anyone of those 2 combos of players. I'd be a happier Jazzfan!

Gerlad Wallace and Steve Jackson = Laker killers.... bring them IN NOW!!!! now that Sloan's gone, we might have a chance.... INSTANT TOUGHNESS

It's so wierd that the Bobcats always beat the Lakers. If its because of Wallace and Jackson, I say go get them.

As usual I am always in favor of trades that are heavily lop-sided in our favor. KOC, git'r'done!!!1!

In the case of the Bobcats, I'm not sure what they're playing for and Wallace and Jackson won't be or shouldn't be around if they ever get their rebuilding efforts rolling. I really think the Bobcats would bite on AK and Hayward for the both of them since it saves them A **** LOAD of money. I don't know that I want to trade Hayward, though, and conversely, the Jazz would be spending A **** LOAD of money to keep them through their deals.

I heard a rumor that the Cavs and Bobcats were close to a deal where the Cavs got Wallace with the Lebron TE, but that the talks froze because the Cavs also wanted a pick. If that's true, their availability is fairly certain. At least if this was after they got Silas, otherwise... *shrug*

They are not looking to ship out Gasol. And if they are, holy ****.

But it's Locke. Also, stay THE **** away from Zach Randolph.

Well, he definitely said they're more interested in keeping Gasol and moving Randolph. But they were mentioned in the same breath.

If there's one thing this team doesn't need, it's a (nother) blackhole big, or another cancer. Acquiring Zach Randolph right now might be the end of the franchise. Worst thing this team could do besides trade Deron for Eddy Curry's expiring deal.

Why would Memphis do any trade with Utah right now?
Helping Utah right now is last thing Memphis would do.
Unless its to make them worse.

Settle down there, NUMB. Are you trying to piss off the board one year in advance or something? Haven't you seen how huge Maynor has been? 4.6 points and 2.4 assists, buddy. Jazz seriously gave that up for ten million? Guffaw! And to think they replaced him with that old *** veteran who can't push the ball up the court or throw an alley oop pass. Hayward is untouchable. UNTOUCHABLE!

Why would the Bobcats give us their best players for nothing?

Who is their GM?
