To the people who say don't overpay him: what else are we going to spend the money on? We're not going to be good for a few years. We're not doing anything else with the money. We'd probably be able to resign Burks and Kanter, certainly Burks, and I'd much rather have Hayward than Kanter. If Exum turns out to be great, Hayward's contract will be up as soon as we'd have to pay him. No big free agent is going to sign here unless we develop them.

Hayward is as good of a value as we'll get with the money. Would be ****ing stupid to let him walk for nothing.

I hope we can scare off the other teams and get him for 12 million. If you don't like him at 12 million, tell me what else we should do with it.

So my question to you...... if burks and kanter have poor seasons next year as well should we give them both the max too? Cant let them walk for nothin right? Free agents never want to play here so we cant let them leave right?

With losing McRoberts to Miami, I wonder if the Hornets shift their money towards finding a new starting PF (instead of going with Hayward) or if they go with Zeller, Vonleh, or Biyombo as the starting 4.
 
I wish the Hornets had some players we could do a sign and trade with Hayward for.......... Michael Kidd-Gilchrist would be the only option. But his shot is so broke. I don't want that.

Why can't a team with some talent want to sign Hayward lol
