What's new

Cleveland Cavaliers (28-8) @ Utah Jazz (23-16) - 7 PM MT

This **** better be sarcasm. Remember that big run CLE went on? Yeah, pretty sure that started when Mack came in.
He was kidding fo sho

Ingles and Hill had biggest + / - ... this Aussie dude is becoming awesome, so underestimated, even by fellow players. But apparently not by Quin.

Good win for Utah. should win the next 5.

Also the Raptors fans on RealGM are extremely bitter about everything lol.

I feel like we are going to go on a monster run now. Team is healthier than its been all season, Hayward had a break out monster game against the champs,
Rudy is on another level. I think Hayward and Gobert both make the all star team if we win the next 5.

We definitely need to go on a run right now. With the way that Houston has taken off, the 4th seed looks much better than the 5th or 6th.

What do you expect, LeBron is the Man. That third quarter, he was like from another planet. Never have seen a player so dominant in a short period. But the Cavs actually tired themselves out with that rally which allowed the Jazz to go on their own run.

Is that the real Cavs defense? Jazz were getting a lot of open shots most of the night. They won't repeat if their D is this bad.

The Cavs have no coach - LeBron essentially runs the team. Their collective effort reflects his demeanor during the game. When he was getting pissed because of supposed non-calls the entire team fell apart. When he was focused in the 3rd the entire team stepped up their game.

It's really amazing to watch - I try to catch The Cavs games when I can on LP. I'm convinced they'd be a 20-win team without him. I'd bet 80% of the games they win is simply for no other reason than they have LeBron James and the other team does not.

It's funny to me that the league gives out their MVP award based on stats put up during the regular season. They should change the award and base it on the entire season. Dude is easily the best player in the world, and it's annoying that other players are named most valuable when LeBron is still in his prime.

Agreed

It definitely would not be egregious for Harden to win MVP. The Cavs at least have Kyrie and K-Love that could some buckets every once in a while. Take Harden off the Rockets and who makes plays for that team? They have basically zero playmakers outside of him and their record is better than the Cavs. It's based on the regular season because it is a regular season award.

kind of why there is this award called "Finals MVP"

Statement game for Hayward. He showed up for a BIG game. Ive been critical when hes let down, and will PRAISE here. THIS is the Hayward we need ALL the time.

10-12, 4-5 from 3. 9 boards.

No one in the NBA does this ALL the time.

Hayward is very consistent, but if you expect this type of near perfection on a consistent basis, you are setting yourself up for disappointment.

There just isnt much Hayward can do if teams continue to double team him on PNR every play. He has to give up the ball so others can make plays 4 on 3. He did a great job of taking what the offense gave him last night, but yeah, even shooting open shots it's impossible to do that every game.

Well then why doesn't everyone just do that to Lebron or Harden? Somehow those guys never seem to disappear in a game like Hayward. If they get doubled they're still a huge part of the offense. They don't cower in a corner putting the onus on a teammate to make it plays. That's the difference between a true max guy and the Gordon Haywards of the world.

Hayward is a true max guy. He lived up to his max contact and almost every team in the NBA would give him a max deal if they could.

But yes Hayward is not on Lebron's level and never will be. He is not on hardens level offensively but does a lot of other things better like defense. I'm not sure why fans are so hard on him for not being the best player in the NBA. He is really good, why not appreciate what we have?

Revolution 9's takes are amazing. A breakout game by Hayward! Who's averaging 22.2 ppg!
