...and the Giants still have a better staff (barely).
Phils don't have much of an outfield to score runs. Werth is gone.

Dude, whatever. Oswalt only has a 3.18 career ERA over ten full seasons. He has one out of ten seasons above 4 ERA. He only has one back-to-back 20 win seasons. He's only been good for 30+ games for 7 years. Who is he again?
This is what Yankee fans get for harassing and spitting on his wife Kristen Lee. I believe some of these people were the culprits.

If the Phillies were in the World Series she would have gotten beer thrown at her.
Everyone thinks Lee is so great for turning down the Yankees but he's actually a douche for signing with a worse bunch of dickheads. From the stuff I read the difference was far less than $30 million that is being reported when you factor in a bunch of other things that I don't care to look at again. The Yankees hatred is overblown. If I can root for them over douche teams like Philly then anyone can.
Most Philly fans where I live are total ****ing bandwagoners. They never gave a damn until they ended their 15 year playoff drought. ****ing Mets.
I am hoping you aren't arguing with me on this. I have openly stated that Oswalt is an ace and I would love to have him on my team. I just stated that anyone who uses W/L records to try to say Oswalt is a bad pitcher or not that good is crazy. W/L records are very dependent on your offense. Hence why I brought up Matt Cain versus Jason Marquis. Everyone with half a brain would want to have Matt Cain over Jason Marquis, but with the faulty argument that your W/L record determines how good of a pitcher you are... It goes to show how dumb of an argument it actually is considering Matt Cain is below .500 for his career and Jason Marquis is above .500. I guess that we are agreeing that Oswalt is a stud.
Yes, we agree. But now I think you're the board's biggest moron. Jason Marquis pitched for Colorado in 2009. Cain is GiantScum, and as such probably deserves a cliche steroid comment. I was hoping that mystery missile was being launched at San Francisco by the Jihad or something. I would almost not cry as long as AT&T Park was completely wiped out. The nation would rally together behind it. We'd probably be so happy that we'd ask them to invade us to balance it all out.
MaCain... guffaw.
Are you saying that since he pitched for Colorado in 2009 that his numbers were hurt by those numbers? You realize he pitched well there in a contract year. We all know Coors is a bandbox. Which leads me to the next question, does his performance in Colorado negate the fact that he had 6.02 ERA in 2006 with the Cardinals in 33 GS, 194.1 IP and a 1.52 WHIP. Oh, but he won 14 games so he was great that year right? Stick to basketball and the Jazz. It suits you much better.
It is a very rational argument. Wins are overrated. I am not a Rockies fan at all by any means but good luck with that. Drew Goodman, worst sportscaster the world has ever seen.
