Clippers have to be kicking themselves

Considering that the Clips got bounced in the first round and there is no guarantee that Paul well re sign with them I don't think the Clips could take the chance of letting Bledsoe go. I'd say there is only a 50% chance Paul stays a Clipper after that playoff choke job.

It's hard for me to believe that a PG that's small even for his position, has bad knees, and getting his last big payday will just pass on $30 million+ in guaranteed money and the only way he gets that is if he re-signs with LAC (thanks CBA). If he wants out, his best bet is to re-sign and see how next season goes then force a trade if Blake Griffin is still more interested in showboating than having any considerable level of skill to his game or defend.

With all the talk on how awesome Chris Paul is (and He is awesome), He has only won two playoff series in his whole career.

He has also never had a sidekick. Imagine how good he could be if he had a star next to him. Didn't Blake get hurt in the series?

If you put Paul on this team, with Hayward, Kanter, and Favors (especially Favors), we would be a top three team behind SA and OKC. If Kanter panned out and Favors slightly improved, in 2-3 years we would be competing with OKC for #1.

David west was supposedly better than boozer...

Supposedly...

I think if Boozer had played with Favors (like he is playing with Noah now), he would have been beloved...again, if he had PLAYED. ;)

yep, thats the key. I think NOLA should have kept Tyson Chandler, Chris Paul and David West. That would have been a good team if they were healthy. Kind of like how booze, noah and Rose are.

Great point. I didn't think of that.

First of all the Clippers didn't choke away the series, Memphis is the better team. The Clipper look good showboating in the regular season but the playoffs are a totally different animal. Teams exploit matchups and generally are not playing back to backs. Griffin got hurt but he also got exposed. His game is based upon athleticism and in the playoffs guys are not going to let you alley-oop your way to 20 points. The defensive intensity in at another level in the playoffs so players like Griffin get manhandled and struggle.

Memphis is a legit contender. I would not be surprised if they come out of the west. I think their chances are great to beat OKC and if the Spurs win they have already proven they can beat the Spurs. They might struggle against the Tankers but the Grizzlies certainly have as good a chance as any of the four remaining teams.

Millsap would have helped the Clippers but I still believe Memphis would have won. I am less crazy about getting Bledsoe. I really didn't see anything during the playoffs that got me excited.
