What's new

Coach Quin

I'm not sure how many realize this but the reason, Hill, Diaw, and Johnson signed with the Jazz, is Coach Quin. He had developed relationships with Hill and Diaw in San Antonio, and you always hear players praise him. He is universally liked and I'm sure this is why Joe Johnson signed with us. Imagine those three off the bench with Alec Burks. Can you imagine a better second team in the NBA? They could play with either Favors or Rudy at center, even Trey Lyles in a small ball lineup.

Another talent of Coach Quin is player development. Already we can see this coming to fruition with Rudy and Dante, and Rodney, and Neto. Maybe this will be the year Alec finally does.

A lot of people are being cautious but by mid-season this team could be a juggernaut.

He has never been around JJ but yes he developed relationship with the other 2 while a SPUR. That is a good bench no doubt but guess what benches don't win chips. So no I cant name 5 better benches but I can easily name 15 better starting lineups then the jazz have.

Please name the 15 better starting lineups.

I know you make your living out of being a troll here, but usually you semi have a basis for your statements...to say there are easily 15 better starting lineups is stepping outside the cover of believability you usually use for your troll attempts..
Step it up, this was weak ***. Troll status = rookie

I ignored him months ago, just ignore him.

Quin Snyder - Austin Toros 2007 to 2010
Boris Diaw - Spurs from 2012 to 2016

Quin Snyder did not develop a relationship with Diaw while he was with the Spurs.

Also, as Broncster pointed out, Diaw was traded.

I like Coach Quin too, but I like facts better.

Ok, I will give credit to where credit is due. But I will also exploit ignorance, where you show weakness. You stated that "benches don't win chips". I think that you have made it clear that the game of NBA basketball is obviously over your head, and a sport that you not only, do not follow, but don't understand either. The strength of an NBA teams bench means everything. It's the true difference between winning and losing. 92% of NBA teams that have won an NBA title in that last 55 years, have won the championship with an over-achieving bench. Poor benched teams don't even make it deep in the playoffs. What the hell are you talking about??

This is a few of the NBA benches that played a major role for their teams in the playoffs. (just to name a few)
99-02 Lakers
93-95 Rockets
95-98 Bulls
90-93 Bulls
88-90 Pistons
1986 Celtics
1965 Celtics
1960 Celtics
2015 Warriors
1983 76'ers
1964 Celtics
1985 Lakers

I hope Quin doesn't take all our players with him when he leaves. If you think about it, QS has a relationship with every ex-player on the Jazz, Spurs, Atlanta, and Clippers by association. Duke alumni worship him, as do every euro player since he coached there for a while. Pretty much the entire league loves him at this point. I wouldn't be surprised to see Hayward sign with god Quin's new team next summer.

What are you talking about? Quin signed an extension, he will be here next year. Quinn is connected around the league with the players. Word gets around the league and players are noticing what he is doing in Utah. Kobe gave his endorsement so that doesn't hurt his reputation either.

Good call. I completely forgot about future HOFer Kobe and Laker nation, which is basically half the NBA fans in the nation. So we got all of them behind QS and we now have every hall of fame alumni and their teams by extension as well. QS is the only reason we signed JJ, Diaw and Hill because he is so great, he is so great he will make Utah Jazz great again.
