Coach Snyder post game (10/17/14) - AKA why he's the man

Last minute or so of the interview is the most poignant to me. It's not that typical empty coach-speak ******** we used to hear Ty the Turd puke out.

Coach is focused on developing an identity which Corbin had zero grasp of, and was my biggest gripe of his from the get go.

This is what a real coach sounds like! I've noticed how Snyder takes a minute when a guy comes back to the bench to explain things, presumably what they did right or can improve on. Guys need that feedback. Love his thoughtful answers as well. Gonna be a great season to develop this team no matter how many they win. But I think they'll turn some heads for sure.

Hey, I'm back. I know that nobody missed me, but I swore off Jazz games 2 years ago until they fired Corbin (it really is embarrassing that it took the front office that long to figure it out (how the bungled the Millsap/and Jefferson thing is still a sore spot though)). But I'm liking what I've seen so far in the pre-season. I think this team has the potential to surprise a lot of people this year and Snyder looks to be the perfect fit for a coach.

A lot of that was coach speak. Just a different style. I guess you're happy because he said "We're in the process of trying to develop an identity". You never heard Corbin say that? We'll see how he sounds when he's been here a couple of years and had to answer the same stupid questions a hundred times. For most coaches with tenure the answers become automatic. I like Quin too, but you guys are ridiculous when it comes to Corbin. And 'Surely', as far as I'm concerned you could have stayed gone. I have no use for fans like you.

Hate to say it but he's right!!! When you have a team you stick with him through everything!! Bad management bad coaching crazy players and fat ugly cheerleaders... That's what being a fan is.

Just sayin

Welcome back Surely. Not all of use are as uptight about you not posting as others.

How did they bungle the Millsap/Jefferson thing? They went full rebuild and there were NO reported deals leaked that brought back expirings and picks.

As for keeping Corbin last year, it was part of the rebuild. Coaches want to win. Hornacek or one of the other coaches would have increased the win total by 5-10. Is that what you really wanted...to draft in the 8-12 slot instead of top5?

Yes. I loved the "it's just one game" response. That never got old. I don't remember Corbin saying much except that he was changing the defense by forcing players baseline instead of to the middle. How did that go, Ty? I guess the Jazz under Ty did have an identity: BORING and BAD!
