Coby Karl

Would anyone be interested in Coby Karl? He would be a cheap option. He has very high basketball IQ, hustles, is ok athletic, but most of all, he plays with the most heart I've seen from someone trying to make a team. I wouldn't mind him being an 11th or 12th guy on the team.

Rob Mahoney on Denver's Coby Karl: "There's no real reason why Coby Karl wouldn't be able to compete on an NBA level, yet somehow, under guise of flawed skills and limited athleticism, he's doomed to the horrid middle ground between D-League stud and NBA role player. It's not a fun place to be, but there are so many capable wings that can technically do what Karl does. They just don't. Coby has the right skills and makes the right plays, with the perfect package for a complementary player. He doesn't step outside of himself and makes excellent decisions. For a guy vying for a spot on the back end of an NBA roster, that's huge."

I honestly think I have never seen him play one minute in a game ever ever.

He didn't play today and I'm not sure why, but I'm not kidding when I say he plays with more heart than anyone I've seen. He's like Millsap times 3. Rudy thinks he needs to calm down.

Sounds exactly like summaries I have read of our #9 draft pick...

umm...**** NO! We need to sign Ronnie Brewer to half of the MLE, Shannon Brown to the other half, and Jarron Collins to the veterans minimum.

I'm guessing all of those who have said no have never actually watched him play. We have 8 guys under contract right now, two with QO's. I would much rather havea guy like Coby over Jeffers.

Thanks for the valuable information. I'm still waiting for the "Karl would be cancer on the Jazz" post.

You won't get it. Karl is a good guy - people are just unsure about him since he hasn't been given playing time. Props to you for having the balls to suggest him.
His 3 pt % sucks. I'd rather have Brewer.

I only suggest him because I've watched everyone of his summer league games this year and last year. People that say he sucks really don't know what they are talking about.

He looks like Jazz material. Nice and white.

He's a ginger - which might explain why no one wants to touch him.

I feel bad for gingers.

But if he's good - I haven't seen him play, but Archie has.
