College Basketball '14-15......

Utah's offense looked like clown shoes for most of the night. I love where they are defensively but they've gotta get more cohesive play on the other side of the ball. Brandon Taylor was so brutal. It was the worst night of PG play I can remember seeing. I nearly threw up in my mouth.

Nice that somehow they scratched out a win but that kind of effort will lead to some painful losses if things don't improve.

Ya, good post.
I think utes airballed about 5 shots and I'm not sure if they even made a three

Watching the game last night reminded me of thier football team. Lots of great strengths, especially the defense, and a gaping hole (qb play for football, shooting for bball)

That is the only ute bball game i have seen though so maybe it was just a tough shooting night.

Taylor and Tucker both had 3's.

Comparison to the football team is not a bad one, actually.

When loveridge comes back thier offense will get alot better doe
 
Bryce Dejean-Jones certain to be suspended for failing to turn down his hip-hop music and being dumb.

Police had apparently been to his house 5 times throughout the semester for noise complaints and had done everything they could without arresting him, worked with team officials, set up a text alert system for him if he was being too noisy, etc. Finally they had enough and he was arrested this time. This is apparently his 3rd citation for a "nuisance party". Not a humongous deal as far as the crime, but continuing to do it again and again is pretty dumb, and punishment seems warranted, if not necessary, since nothing else seems to work.

So he's in jail. Lol. Will miss the big game at Iowa tomorrow, which makes me sad.

Saw him on the bus yesterday. Wasn't positive it was him at the time though because I'm racist and he's black. Wish I had asked him how the knee was feeling.

To the best of my knowledge, police smelled burnt marijuana upon entry and charged him with "operating a drug house" or something - allowing people to smoke or exchange drugs in your home, I guess is how I understand it. I don't believe they found any weed and the judge dismissed the charge. Either way a good wake up call for the dude. He's probably running out of opportunities.

Utes bball players on the short bus?
 
White said Hoiberg was very strict and direct with Dejean-Jones about his expectations for the senior transfer from UNLV and in White's words, "...did everything that a coach should have been doing."
White described the behavior of Dejean-Jones and his roommates in detail and explained why he could take it no longer.
"They outright leave their trash out in the hallways and there was one morning I came home and the trash was littered all over the hallway," White said. "There is puke in the hallways and every smell that comes into the hallway in this building has been linked to their unit. [There are] parties at all hours of the night, all days of the week. Last night specifically I think it was just them screaming at each other playing video games at 4 a.m"
Noise, garbage and smells, however, are far from the only concern to White, who lives one door down from Dejean-Jones.
White described a particularly vulgar incident that happened recently.
"I came home one day and I noticed there was a note on their door," White said. "Someone else posted it, it was not me. Someone wrote them a nice handwritten letter that said this is what you guys are doing; we do not appreciate it. We would like it if you guys showed more respect.
"A couple hours later that note was on my door with the words 'suck my d***' written on it because they thought I did it. I shrugged it off, put it back on their door and later that night they came pounding on my door with the letter. They were drunk and fights almost happened that night."
White said he has felt physically threatened before but does not believe that Dejean-Jones or his roommate will pursue physical violence.
"I do not feel like they are going to try and do anything physical towards me, but when my mom and friends come over, nobody likes being here," White said.
A person inside Dejean-Jones' apartment did not open the door and declined to comment.
