What's new

College Basketball '14-15......

UK's, by every metric.

I haven't looked at the advanced stats, I was going simply by the eye test... I really love the way Virginia defends. They are a defensive machine. They probably don't have the abundance of physical specimens Kentucky has, especially in the low post, but damn do they defend... Insane intensity, precision on the rotations and the help defense, great closeouts and cutting off the lanes and the paint penetration, very effective boxouts on the defensive glass... I really love watching them defend... It's not pretty, but it's damn impressive to watch.

Hope people around the country start to recognize Brandon Taylor , he is so money.

Without Askia Booker Colorado was nothing

Just saw that Kyle Collinsworth had another triple double in byu's last game
23 points, 10 assists, and 12 rebounds.

Impressive.

He said he's going to more aggressive on offense for the rest of the year now that BYU is straddling a very fine line between NCAA/NIT berth. Hope so. I'd rather lose with him attacking the rim constantly than to see BYU go down chucking 3's all game.

You mean if they win every game they have left including Gonzaga and they play really well in the WCC tourney they have a chance at the NCAA.

Oh cool, you guys forgot how this process works since Utah has been out of the big dance for so many years. Don't worry, I'll fill you in. 68 teams. There is thing called an RPI that is a pretty big deal. BYU is hanging on the edge of the 68 as is, but would move up considerably if all they do is lose to Gonzaga for the rest of the year. They got 3 straight home games that will kick them into the low 50's if the win. If they then beat Portland on the road and play Gonzaga regardless of a win, they are into the 40's before the conference tourney. Then if they can just meet Gonzaga at some point in the conference tourney, that will automatically kick them up higher - low 40's; high 30's most likely. They are in. Beat Gonzaga either time and they can lose 2 more games to anybody.
