What's new

College Basketball 16-17

Gonzaga might have my vote for the new #1 team after UK's loss. I think they'd beat Villanova.

They're shutting down some good players on Arizona..

6'11" So. on St. Johns, Tariq Evans has a 7'4" wingspan, he's painfully thin but runs well and blocks shots. Interesting player if he can add some weight.

LOL at this 3 pointer from the NCAA's leading scorer(Central Michigan) Marcus Keene, thats one you wont see even from Steph. That's some Skip To My Lou ****. He dropped 40 in this game.

Lots of quality matchups on the schedule today;

Cal at Seton Hall, both are probable tournament teams.

#10 Creighton at Nebraska and #9 Xavier at Colorado should be good..

UK's favored by 20 vs Valparaiso but according to Draftexpress they have a projected 1st rd pick Alec Peters, so that should be worth a watch.

Washington @ Gonzaga should be a good spectace with Fultz the #1 pick but probably not much of a game.

TCU v SMU has potential..

Angel Delgado of Seton Hall is showing well right now vs Ivan Rabb and Cal. Great 1st half for Charlie Moore and Jabari Bird. Not much from Rabb.

Keene is shooting 52% FGs and 44% FTs. TS is at 67%. 31 ppg

Almost a flawless start by ND. Their PG Farrell is a boss. To win 1 college game I'd take him over many fringe 2nd rd picks. He just limped off the floor tho, gotta get him back to complete this upset.

Their backup PG who's a sniper looks like Macaulay Culkin as Richie Rich

Mikal Bridges is doing a lot of little things to keep Nova in this during the onslaught.

Nevada @ Washington in half an hour should be a good setting to watch Markelle Fultz (and Cameron Oliver) probably a good game too, Washingtons favored by 4½

Game of the night about to tip off - Seton Hall v #16 South Carolina (who's without Sindarius Thornwell) This is a 3pt spread. Hows this for shooting splits Khadeen Carrington, the Pirates leading scorer is shootign 55% from 3, 54% from the field and 52% from the stripe

this 6'9" F Chris Silva (on South Carolina) who Seton Hall recruited hard looks pretty damn good. Light on his feet, quick to block shots/recover defensively, quick to the oboards and like he can finish and has some footwork.

Born in Gabon. He's certainly one of the reasons their defense looks so fast.

He just faceplanted diving for a looseball at 100mph.. He hurt himself pretty good bleeding out of the mouth heavily. Consider me a fan.

Morehead State basketball coach Sean Woods allegedly head-butted one of his players last year, the father of the athlete told ESPN on Wednesday.

Edson Maitland, the father of Malik Maitland, said his son told him Woods head-butted him late last season but quickly apologized, asked for forgiveness and promised it would never happen again. He said his son told him he reported the incident to the team's trainer.

Edson Maitland is now asking Morehead State to terminate Woods, who is suspended indefinitely with pay after he was charged Tuesday with misdemeanor battery for allegedly assaulting Malik Maitland and Soufiyane Diakite last month.

Woods was charged with misdemeanor battery, according to court documents obtained by WTVQ, after he allegedly backhanded Malik Maitland in his chest at halftime of a Nov. 19 matchup at Evansville and shoved Diakite during and after the game. Edson Maitland said his son told him about the alleged assault after the matchup.

Woods, who played with "The Unforgettables" Kentucky squad that reached the Elite Eight in 1992, was suspended three days after the game at Evansville.

Evansville Sgt. Patrick McDonald said misdemeanor battery in Indiana is defined as any alleged assault that results in a "complaint of pain" from an alleged victim. It does not mean anyone was injured, he said.

In 2012, in his first season with Morehead's program, Woods was suspended for shoving former player Devon Atkinson during a game.
