This was actually ammended on sunday morning apparently. Collinsworth tipped missed shot back in and didn't get credited with the rebound so he did in fact finish with a triple double.

Kyle Collinsworth is now the all time ncaa leader in triple doubles.

Weber State passes the eye test. Only watched about 10 minutes of gametime, but they look like the most athletic Utah based team to me, especially in the post. Guards looked capable too. Should be a pretty good year for them.

Didn't they get killed by South Dakota State?

Looks like South Dakota State is 6-1 with a win over TCU, and they beat Illionis State by more than Kentucky, etc. That might not be a bad loss. Weber did get beaten by a Dave Collete-less Utah State it seems too. Have won 5 straight though and who knows how much "gelling" they needed. They've definitely got some new guys.

Anyway I said most athletic, not best team. Just they have some nice athletic pieces to work with. Obvious talent there and were I a Weber fan, I would be disappointed with anything other than competing for a tourney bid through the last game of the season.

Pretty sure TCU has a terrible team. I think they finish last in the Big 12 almost every year.

UK is -5.5 against UCLA today.
Free money. Vegas bringing the charity during the holiday season. I don't usually bet, but laid $3k on this one.

Can't wait for this one. Should be a block party as usual.. Will be a good test on the boards for UK.

It's tough to imagine how UK would lose this game. Alford and Hamilton would have to be on fire for it to happen. Tony Parker would need to be grabbing 12+ boards too. UK would basically have to come out flat.

It's still early in the year. We could come out cold, turn the ball over, not box out the boards... I actually think those things happen... and we still cover.

I'm just always weary about these type of games, because of how heavily the bets are swayed on one side.. And because UCLA has some good players.. It'd behoove the Bruins to have one of their younger players introduce themselves nationally in a big game - like Jonah Bolden or Prince Ali

Last years game vs UCLA was some kind of spectacle though.. people remember that, the betting public certainly will, and obviously the players on UCLA will be on high alert.

That being said, 82-65 Wildcats - I trust Coach Cal will have the squad fired up and ready. I never really thought UK would lose many games this season, certainly the field looks weak and there for the taking...

UCLA would have to pull the upset by drilling 3's and putting in a workmans like effort on the boards. Simple things like Turnovers, FT's and 3point makes can easily sway games, and especially 6point betting lines.

Kentucky will probably only have a few more single digit point spreads for the rest of the season though, and they should have a considerable and obvious athleticism advantage so it's probably safe..

Is Ulis still out or is he playing?

If he is out, are you not worried about TO's?

Where do we go to drool over Ben Simmons?

Is he the next big thing? And not just like good player, I'm talking, at some point owns the league good.

Too early to tell if he will own the league.
Looks like a pretty Damn good basketball player though and will likely be the #1 pick

I think he is the next Blake Griffin at least and him "owning the league" probably depends on how good his jumper gets.

No. Despite Ben's lack of a J, he was actually one of the most complete players you could ever see in HS. I'd say there's younger prospects that are more likely to dominate (ones that can shoot).. players with more potential.

Next years Freshman Class is widely regarded as better than this one, and one of the best ever, if not the best(I'd say it is).. Players like Harry Giles, Josh Jackson and De'Aaron Fox are all better prospects - Giles did just tear his knee up, not long ago. None of them quite play quite like Ben Simmons, there are point forwards out there though.

The safest bet for the next big thing is Marvin Bagley III. The hype won't peak for him for years but he's a known commodity and far from a mixtape gimmick. He's a big lefty with a vast bag of tricks for someone his size and age. I think he can play SF, he's an obvious 4 or 5 as an amateur though.

I don't think you can say no on Simmons at this point. I like the Griffin comp, but at the same stage, he's a better passer and ball handler than BG was. If Simmons can learn to shoot, he can definitely be the next big thing and perhaps own the league - whatever that means. It's a big if, but not out of the question.
