Cant wait for this A&M-TENN game, both teams show CFP potential (more so AM than TEN) but this is about the time of year when AM falls apart.

Lol at Houston. There's a reason why they play the game on the field and not on paper.

I watch a lot of cfb and I think the best teams, in this order, are:

1. Alabama
2. Ohio State
3. Washington
4. Michigan
5. Clemson
6. Louisville

Now, I'm going to throw out a MAJOR sleeper who could imo still make the playoff. I don't think they would but should what I'm about to describe happen, I think there's a chance of it, especially since we know one of OSU/Michigan will lose, one of Louisville/Houston will lose again, and more losses will come for some of the top teams.

LSU, currently unranked, could go to the playoff. They'd have to win out and it's unlikely but given how they played with their new (interim?) coach last weekend, I think they could be motivated and focused and have a very outside shot of doing it. They have as much talent as anyone. Go look at NFL mock drafts. They have 5-6 projected first rounders. And with a very experienced and talented defense, the best rb in the country (if healthy) and a perhaps more focused offense, I could see them winning at Florida (garbage offense--should the game be rescheduled), at home vs Ole Miss, and then shocking people vs Alabama (home night game in Death Valley) before continuing to run the table and get into the SEC championship game, and winning that too. If they did all that, a 2 loss LSU team that was that hot and would have won at Florida, vs Ole Miss, vs Bama, vs Arkansas, at A&M, and the SEC title game will have skyrocketed up the rankings and made it possible and very tough for voters to pass up.

We're on a collision course for an epic Ohio St./Michigan vs Bama national championship....LSU is a stupid sleeper imo.

That's fine. You can think that. But Death Valley in prime time is brutal, their d is insanely talented, and this is not one of Bama's great, great defenses. And again, it's why I said a super sleeper.

Gun to my head right now, the Buckeyes win it all. I think they win by 14-21 vs Michigan. And Meyer owns Saban.

Very brutal but I think they lose at least three more games (Ole Miss/Bama/A&M) and potentially Florida if they ever play that game.

My top 8
My rankings are based on my eyes, and who you've played....I think there's a huge drop off after the top 8.

1. Ohio St
2. Bama
3. Michigan
4. Washington
5. Louisville
6. Clemson (I know they're unbeaten and they beat Louisville but that was at home and I came away from that game thinking I'd pick Louisville in a neutral site game)
7. Texas A&M
8. Houston (I know they lost to Navy and that's pathetic but Navy played the perfect game and it happens in football which is why we watch, but to my eye they're top 8.)

Very fair statement with your 5/6. I don't buy A&M. They start off well every year and then fold. And Tennessee is a joke so I'm not impressed. I agree with Houston. I'd maybe put Houston 7th and Wisconsin 8th.

I don't think Tennessee is a joke I just think they're tier 3 which is good but not CFP material, same probably with A&M by the end of the year.

I would say:
(Not in order)

The elites
Ohio St
Bama
Michigan

Tier 2
Louisville
Washington
Clemson
Houston

Tier 3 (teams that are as talented as anyone in the country and can beat anybody but can't quite put together a full season)

A&M
Wisconsin (not one of the most talented)
Tennessee
Ole Miss (I'd take Ole Miss against anyone in this group on a neutral site)

Haven't watched a lot of Nebraska so any comment wouldn't be my own, and Baylor hasn't played anybody.

I like that you have Michigan in the top 3
I thinks it's bama, michigan, osu

Plus, players seem to rally around Orgeron. I don't think it's a bad sleeper call.

My playoff teams are pretty generic...

1. Bama (duh)

2. Ohio St (they beat Mich)

3. Clemson (easy schedule the rest of the way if they beat FSU)

4. Washington (I think they will lose to USC, but still win the PAC 12 and get in the playoff with one loss)

Or Ohio St gives up a huge 4th quarter comeback to Penn St and loses.
