lol, everybody afraid of being labeled a bigot, too scared to vote.

hahahahah so a people that went to war for tax hikes are now afraid to give their opinion?

because liberals will shame them?

I voted for I don't care. Because I don't really. The only way a symbol loses its power is if we allow it to. The longer we allow those symbols to mean anything the longer they hold power. The Germans have outlawed many of the symbols that have to do with Naziism, which ironically gives them a lot of power still in the off-shoots of society. I am still a believer that until we get past the need to label things they will still hold power over us, as individuals and as a society.

would you be offended by a neighbour flying a nazi flag?

Here or in America? Here he would be arrested, so it is a non-topic really. In American I wouldn't really care other than to think he is an idiot.

That statement alone means you would care. If you truly didn't care, the way you treat this neighbor wouldn't change. At all.

This troll thread by Butchy is rather prescient considering.

That being said, I think the flag means a lot to a lot of people but there is no denying that it IS definitely a symbol of institutional racism and a by-gone era of human ownership. Those that promulgate that the civil war was about states rights have not read the secession screeds read at the conventions.

I don't have a problem with the flag but if you fly it don't cry and act as a victim when folks label you a bigoted fool.

I have a problem with government buildings flying the flag. Besides racism, the flag is a symbol of treason and sedition and has no place flying from a public building in the United States.

If some mouth breather wants to wear it/fly it/wrap themselves up in it, knock yourself out. No, really, knock yourself out. It doesn't make you a rebel, it makes you an *******.
