Conflicted feelings OKC @ GSW game thread

Man, once the Warriors figure this out. This is gonna be crazy. They just need one good defensive big.

LOL ... Draymond just gave the most random interview on TNT ... "I not only want to destroy them, but I want to annihilate Cleveland".

Thats preposterous. It's not even close. Vic was overpaid but not by more than 10-15MM. Dion got 2.9.

Well that settles it.

So far they are performing very similarly this year.

I'd much rather have Dion at 2.9 than Oladipo at 20 million.

They both played very similar when they were both featured players on bad teams (Waiters two years pre-Lebron era Cavs and Oladipo's first two years on the Magic). Waiters then regressed because he was forced to play a role on a good team and Oladipo was allowed to have inflated numbers on non-playoff teams. Now they are both on teams fighting for 8th seeds and I think they are going to look similar again.

I'm not saying Waiters > Oladipo, but I don't think Oladipo is 17 million a year better than Waiters.

OKC will miss playoffs and look ugly after their personal early season individual show offs are over midway into the season. Russell Westbrook will go to LA.

If you've been to Cleveland, you understand.

On the topic of this game, yeah, mismatch from the start. Warriors really starting to gel in the 2nd half vs Portland and in the 2nd quarter vs OKC. Scary good when they're on.

OKC is probably a playoff team (6th in my estimation), but they are not close to the class of GS, it will be interesting to see what OKC does going forward after committing a lot of money to Adams/Dipo. Feels like they're in that tough spot where Westbrook is too good for them to suck, but they won't be good enough to contend for anything.

Here's a picture of where they were without KD: https://hoopshabit.com/2015/11/23/okc-thunder-grading-teams-time-without-kevin-durant/

The fact is, OKC always hada chaotic type of basketball, and it does not look like it will get any better right now. Some funny quotes
Westbrook’s usage is an insane 38.2 over the last six games without Durant. He’s attempting 21.5 field goals and 8.4 free throws a night. He’s also turning the ball over 5.1 times a game. He’s managed to keep his efficiency numbers consistent despite the increased usage, but we saw last year this is not something that is sustainable enough to put a team in position to win every night.

You can see Westbrook trying to do way too much at the end of the Knicks game

RW actually destroyed that usage rating record with 43+ nowadays.

Sigh just embarrassing. Rest of the team left Russel hanging. We'll be fine though, lol @ people saying OKC isn't a playoff team. What the ****? Horrible takes on here sometimes.

It was funny to bug you when OKC were contenders. Now it's just boring. It's like trying to have fun buggin last few years' Philly off. Kindly terminate account due to failed mission.
