Congrats Coach Corbin.

He led this team to the playoffs in his first full season as head coach. Pretty impressive. Sure we don't agree with all of his decisions but Sloan got tons of **** throughout his career as well. I think what Ty has done is pretty awesome.

Excited to see how he does vs. Pop in a few days.

Also taught Al Jefferson how to pass the ball at an acceptable rate, highlighted by the best pass of Jefferson's career tonight to Millsap.

Corbin deserves major props. He has made KOC look good in the process. Now it is up to the ownership and FO to continue to add the right pieces to this team. With a full training camp and more time to integrate things Jazz could end up between 4-6 seeds in the WCF next season.

corbin still has many flaws but he did a good job keeping all guys together, at least we had a team spirit, that was something we didnt have for long years

Yeah - that pass stayed in my mind as well - it was a real thread the needle pass with a bit of anticipation thrown in. I was shocked it came from al.

We tend to point the finger at Al way more than it's deserved for not passing. MANY times, the "cutters" stop moving once the ball is in Al's hands; just WHO is he gonna pass to?? Even on that play, it took Millsap
F-O-R-E-V-E-R to realize Al was triple-teamed and just MIGHT need a TARGET for a pass, so he worked his way toward's Al and the ball... Give'm ALL credit; they're peaking at the right time and figuring out how to play together as a team!

Good points; 1st full year as HC, and no TC kinda makes the job Coach Ty has done with these guys that much more remarkable.
Even as a player, Ty Corbin was more about competitiveness than pure skills, and that's clearly rubbing off on these warriors!

I think overall Ty did a great job. I was frustrated with the limited minutes of Favors and Hayward at the beginning of the season. I though both Kanter and Burks should have played more but Ty is learning too. I just hope the organization realizes that Bell, Watson, and CJ are no longer needed. I think Burks/Carroll give us more than Bell/CJ have. Tinsley is better than Watson. I am ok with Howard coming back if we don't have a draft pick to draft our future SF or PG.

Well, its still not like BA is looking to make a pass. Even the good one he made last night he was FORCED into making. He was trying to get a shot and was absolutely trapped by the D. Once he knew he was totally trapped he looked to pass. It was a great pass, but not a great play. Its not like he was thinking the whole time "Okay, here comes the double and the triple, looks like paul is going to get into a good spot, I'll just slip the ball to him." It was more like "Gonna shoot over one, gonna shoot over two, gonna shoot over three. Damn, they got me trapped, what am i gonna do? Hey, there's Paul."

He almost never passes to a cutter. Most of the assist he gets seem to be after he is double or tripled and stymied, passes out to Harris for a jumper. Better than forcing a blocked shot, but not exactly great passing.

No one ever said Al was a great passer, we are just saying he is improved and has become a solid passer. He is going to end up with a better than 2:1 assit to turnover ratio, which is better than any starting big man in the entire league.

He is not a solid passer. He no longer rates and F- as a passer, maybe up to a D+. That is improvement and welcome, but a D+ is not solid and it is not good. The offense does not flow at all with him in there. The passes he makes are only the ones the D forces, not ones that come from court vision and basketball IQ. He has even noticed it himself: if the offense centers on him for extended periods it is not good. The other guys are taken out of the game because he does not know how to involve them.

I agree with whoever said that the other Jazz members are not doing enough to provide him with a target. When Al gets the ball, no one else moves much.

I disagree with whoever said Coach Corbin is predictable. Compared to Sloan!? Really!?
