lol, thanks, man. I was wondering whether or not to post about this here. Great news indeed! And what a weird way to go out -- if anybody watched the Bulls Pacers game last night, he was getting into it with his players on the sidelines, tearing down Collison, some of the other guys visibly exasperated with him for benching McRoberts, who had been keeping the Pacers involved in the game. Then he gets ejected from the game. His last night as a Pacer man was a pretty ignoble affair. You just have to watch the Jim O'Brien train-wreck with growing amused exasperation. It seems impossible that he kept his job for as long as he did.
Word on the street (otherwise known as Yahoo!) is the Pacers may go after Mike Brown. Anything is an improvement over O'Brien, but honestly, I don't think very highly of Mike Brown. I think Mike Brown is a potential big mistake, but apparently the organization remembers him fondly from his days as an assistant there. I doubt they hire a new coach until after the lockout is resolved. In the meantime, one of JOB's assistants will likely interim for the rest of the season.
The Yahoo article also mentions Ty Corbin as a possible replacement.
