Conley hamstringing again

I wouldn’t doubt it. They’ve won the first three games in LA. No reason they can’t win a fourth.
That has been the craziest series. I wonder how many times the home team has lost every game in a playoff series like this, or if it has ever happened before.

The road team has never won every game before.

The closest I can think of are the Spurs/Rockets in 1995, the road team won the first five before Houston closed it out at home in 6. Jazz/Clippers in 2017 also featured five road wins.

I thought this happened in 2019 in the Portland/Denver series for some reason.

Why not throw Dok and Eliza Hughes at them if Conley is out for awhile. There is virtually no game tape on either and they can play of they can't. This might be a good way to find out.
If Quin ever gets fired I think you should be on the short list of new coaches.

I have been converted to the position that we should simply be pulling for the Mavs (and not playing with fire in pulling for a game 7). Not that my or our desires matter in the least.

If Conley’s injury is like any of his others, then the Jazz might need to plan to just not have him and in that case the Jazz would miss him less against the Mavs.

Obviously the dream is a game seven AND Dallas advancing, so tonight is a win no matter what in at least one respect.

If Sloan were coaching he would kick Conley on the court and say "Play till your hamstring snaps. You have all off season to make it better."

A snapped hamstring doesn’t get better ya ****en dunce. Playing him too much/hard will drop him out of the playoffs entirely, at which point we’re toast, so there’s no point in going that route at this juncture in the playoffs. He will absolutely have a months-long tear if they push him and he won’t be able to play through that.

I think that as soon as it’s reasonable to have him back on the court, they should play him the first and last three minutes of each half (playing really conservatively, as something of a spacer and decoy), then spell Donovan for the ~12 minutes he doesn’t play (at full-ish speed).

The Jazz offense grinds to a halt when neither he or Donovan isn’t on the floor. If there’s a middle-path, I think the Jazz should take it.

As long as Kristaps is on the court The Jazz offense will be fine.

The Jazz offense would absolutely SHRED Dallas's defense. They seemed mystified by the early pick and roll. Of course the Clippers only go to it occasionally to keep things fair.

Rest Conley until he is legit better. We will need Ingles/Mitchell to step up. We may need spot minutes from Forrest, Oni, and Brantley.

Clippers are still the more talented team than Dallas and you're seeing that tonight. On that alone, they're really dangerous, especially if Utah is lacking one of its best players.

Utah vs Dallas probably goes five, but a Utah-LAC series I could see going seven just on their talent alone.

Really glad Conley gets a couple extra days of rest. I just hope Dallas can pull it of because the Clippers scare the hell out of me.
So much this. The difference between LA and Dallas is incredible. No one from Dallas scares me. Sure, Luka can and will go off. But we have so many matchups to exploit that we’ll have no problem scoring on them. LA? Yikes. They give us matchup problems all over the place and have plenty of people to throw at Mitchell.

to me, It’s a no brainer. There’s no chance Dallas beats us. LA? Has a shot.
