If you’re taking Hendricks with #9 you really should emphasize going ballhandling guard at #16.

With what’s left on the board I go Podz. Maybe add him to the board if you can @Chargers Jazz Angels .

Miller and Hendricks might not be positionally a fantastic fit but I'm still BPA at 16 and I think sometimes that is the best route. Don't assume one guy will be awesome and fill the frontcourt need. Both can still get court time and if they are both awesome figure out the playing time crunch later.

If the board fell this way I'd likely have it Miller, Hawkins (might be the better choice with Hendricks in house), and then JHS is fine I guess.

under no circumstances would i pass on miller at 16 if he's there - that's how high i am on him. even if the jazz take hendricks at 9, to hell with picking a guard. still taking Miller. then i take amari bailey or podz at 28.+

if you pick hendricks, you're picking him for his ability to hit three anyway. they can figure out how to fit. hendricks as a 3/4, miller as a 4/5

dariq whitehead might be the most interesting player in the entire draft. i've completely dismissed him at 16 because the injuries scare me off and he didn't even have close to the same vertical explosion at duke as he did in HS. and he didn't do **** anytime he tried to put the ball on the floor. but if the dude can get and stay 100% healthy, shoot like he did at duke, and put the ball on the floor and elevate like he did in HS, it wouldn't surprise me a bit to see him be a top 3 or 4 player in this draft.

if the lack of elevation and doing anything off the bounce was flukey due to rust/injury/not getting consistent minutes or other factors, watch out.

Say what you want about the guy. No one has more sway around here than Cy.

Hendricks and JHS is a nice draft.
Yup, I'll be pretty happy is that's how things shook out, especially not giving up anything for it, though even if we have up nothing too major I'd still be pretty happy.
