Corbin disrespect Kanter

Corbin is taking the mickey out of Kanter!

He benched him early in the game with no apparent reason when the score was 17-10, replacing him with Biedrins!!

He returned in the game in the 2nd quarter with the score 42-22...he plays 8 min and gets benched...he returns on the
court to play the last 2 min of the quarter.

He begins the 3rd quarter and after only 2 min is replaced again by Evans! He is back in the game when the result is widely
compromised (95-61) to play garbage time with Harris & Co... but 1 min before the end of the 3rd quarter he gets benched once again!

He sat on bench the whole 4th quarter.

I agree he is not playing his best basketball...but what does it mean this treatment?

it sounds like Corbin is trying to take a page out of sloans play book but Corbin's isn't worthy enough to hold sloans jock strap let alone try to coach like him.

Kanter is a 16/10 guy easily.
Corbin is just toying with him.
This, however, could be a very bad idea, if you want to develop young gunz as the supporting crew for "the chosen one" (Utah version, of course).

The only arguments you can make for Corbin playing Kanter significant minutes right now is that it might help him get through whatever the **** is wrong with him and/or help the Jazz lose.

Play Kanter more.

Kanter had twenty minutes in a blowout. He did not play re entire fourth. If he had played the fourth, that is about 28 minutes or so. Not bad. That is about what he should average, maybe up to like 32.

As for the minutes in the second, why are you complaining about getting taken out after 8 minutes of play? That is a lot of playing time in one quarter. Have you ever tried to play more than 8 minutes in an actual game? It is pretty tough to have to play the entire quarter. Players get worn out that way.

Of al the things to complain about Corbin for, this is an odd one the pick up on in a blowout.

Good!

Kanter has been an absolute disaster lately. Turning the ball over every single time he touches it, poor picks on the perimeter resulting in offensive fouls, and pathetic defense.

It seems to me that if we want to at least somewhat base mins on performance and keep players accountable, everyone here should be praising Corbin.

As much as I hate Corbin I got his back on this one. Enes Fesenko needs to sit down, learn, grow up, and play with at least half a brain.

If Enes isn't going to post up, pass when he gets the ball and doesn't have a shot, set good screens, rebound, or play any semblence of even Boozer matador defense, then what good is he out there on the court? Good for Corbin to play Evans, gobert, And biedrins.

Kanter, learn from it. This is the development process.

Pulling a player for any reason other than allowing them a rest is only meaningful if there is coaching to go along with it. I sincerely hope that Corbin is taking the time to show Kanter what he is doing wrong, and show him precisely what he needs to do differently next time. Otherwise erratic sub patterns just confuse and irritate players, especially when they haven't bought into the team philosophy yet.

yet jefferson keeps getting minutes?

If Kanter is affected by what Corbin is doing right now he is no where near as good as some think. He has had some good games but also games where he has not produced well on either end of the floor. Not only will EK be fine, he will get plenty of minutes this year. Just part of the process of him getting it together.

Kanter is a 21 year old big, who was putting up 15 and 7 before Corbin replaced him in starting lineup with Marvin (the same guy he started over Hayward last year). Yes, Kanter has his struggles, but he was not doing that bad for a 21 year old big man. There is absolutely no reason for Marvin to take a minute away from his PT. Deja vu.

The deja vu experience around here is when jazzfanzers quote the stats of our center....

"Al Jefferdad is putting up 19 and 9. He's obviously playing pretty awesome...."

It means the coach wants him to not play like absolute **** if he wants minutes.

How did biedrins play in his place?

How did the team play last night when kanter was out?
