Corbin highlights vs. Blazers.

Biedrins. Mike Harris. Benching Burks. Not to mention taken to woodshed by Stotts with PnR. This guy continues to amaze with how poorly he can manage a team. He is absolutely incapable of being a successful NBA coach and makes some of the most unreasonable moves with his lineup I've ever witnessed. This guy has been trash from day one and done nothing to prove otherwise ever since. If you cry about "another Corbin thread" go get bit because this is the internet and there's unlimited space. I was on my wit's end with Corbin 5 games into his tenure. This is complete torture because I really like many of the players on the Jazz. I'm hoping a change is made soon or else I fear many Jazz fans' passionate disgust will morph into apathy - and the Delta Center will become a ghost town, ultimately leading to the sale of the franchise. Then we'll just have soccer to cling to, and we'll turn into a bunch of flopping euro pansies who sing and chant at soccer games. Corbin will not only go down as the man who ran the Jazz right into the ground, but also the man who eliminated basketball from the fabric of Utah completely. What a chump.

Just have to deal with corbin till the end of year.
I know, I hate him too but we need him to help us secure our future star player and then.... bye bye corbin

It's not even about that. Our guys are talented, but still very young and raw - they'd have trouble winning with just about any coach I believe. However a different coach could help them develop much better than Corbin and his sorry staff. A change is needed immediately and, perhaps irrationally, I can't be convinced otherwise.

Maybe you are right but I dont think so.

I think that I could have this team up around 7 wins right now and I'm a ****ty coach.

You underestimate corbins suckiness and therefore his value to the tank

This year the Jazz would suck under Red Auerbach, Phil Jackson or even Urban Meyer.. That said in the next few years this team could end up really good or bad. I look at it like the Jazz need to cut the cancer and start the rehab. Let's make the rebuild work the right way.

....looks like another "Carolinajazz" disciple has appeared on the board and bought into my idea that the Jazz will be sold and out of Utah within 2 years!

I didn't know it was your idea. Do you really think they're going to be sold? You're not the first I've heard say that. I think it's a real possibility. Especially now with Corbin at the wheel on a one-way street to ****sville.

Maybe it's already been mentioned...did anyone else hear Britton Johnson in the pregame going off on the coaching because of the way the jazz tried to defend Cousins? He was very critical, suggesting that it was basic stuff to knock a big out of rhythm or bring a double team but the jazz didn't. He said if they didn't do the basics against the blazers Aldridge would kill them. He sounded really shocked that the coached wouldn't use the basics to try to win.

I didn't hear that, but the thing that originally turned me against Corbin so quickly when he took over was his lack of grasp on the basics. Forget intricate adjustments to offensive sets, or defensive rotations, he was making mistakes good middle school coaches don't make.

For example, in one of the first preseason games leading up to his first full season at the helm against the Blazers they pressed us down the stretch and forced a turnover and scored. Corbin called a timeout - presumably to draw up a press break/or to refresh those on the court of whatever they had practiced (although it appeared they had never practiced it).

He had Jeremy Evans inbounding the ball, and as anyone who has played the sport competitively (at any level) would know, the inbounder becomes a primary option for the first pass out of a press break. Sure enough, after the ball was inbounded and our guy was trapped he threw it to Evans (a power forward with absolutely no guard skills whatsoever at that point) who obviously turned it over.

My disdain for him as a coach has little to do with wins and losses, and more to do with the fact he's been clueless since he's taken over and shown no signs of getting better. He's also surrounded himself with a staff that obviously are just yes-men who sit quietly collecting their paycheck.

It's good know a "basketball guy" like Britton is calling him out, because God knows Thurl Bailey and Phil Johnson wouldn't dare say anything remotely challenging to the franchise.

It's only one game, coach. Calm down.

That's bull *****. This team needs guidance, and needs to learn and run the PnR a lot efficently. Corbin AIN'T no teacher, so how are these Gais going to learn anything.

If this team was driven a lot better and playmaking was better, they'd have more than 4 wins. Don't disrespect the legacy of legendary coaches like that. Red Auerbach might have to jump out his grave and show you he bout it bout it!
