What's new

Corbin just owned Poppovich

Radical. You will change the coaching universe with this discovery. No details matter guyzz.

You betchya. Most NBA coaches just don't understand that winning is the only thing that matters. Even some people who post here have trouble with the concept. They think that if one play works against a coach, then that coach is totally "owned", even if the "owned" coach goes on to win the game. Such simple mindedness.

Who won the game, Pops or Ty? That is the only detail that matters.

Good gravy, one play works for who knows what reason, and you think Ty Corbin is Master of the Universe. If he is so great, why are the Jazz backing out of the playoffs? Why do they have the worst starting unit in the league?

Popovich won his 900th game last night... I can't wait to see Ty win his 900th game.

At the rate he's going now.... it would take Ty 19 more years to compile the 737 wins he would need to get to 900 wins.

That would be 21.5 seasons to reach 900 wins.

It took Pop 16.5 seasons to reach 900. that's a difference of 5 seasons, (~400 games.)

Ty has a long way to go

I explain it like I would under any other coach. Ginobli went for a ball fake by Marvin and flew right past him which ended with Marvin hitting an open 3. I have no idea if the original play call had Marvin as the man in that moment. It could have just as easily been Foye who Ty ended up drawing the play for. I am not trying to sound like I hate Ty. I don't at all. He seems like a very nice guy. He isn't a very good coach IMO. My opinion will certainly change on this game and the final 17 seconds if Ty or someone else comes out and says that was the play all along.

It was not the play. Marvin thought Foye was going to be shooting the three.

"Randy and I were just talking about that," Williams said, I actually though he was going to shoot it as well. So, my first instinct was to go to the basket. But when I see he didn't really raise up I just stayed."

How many rings does Pop have? What is Pops winning percentage? Where is his team ranked currently in the standings? Oh wow yea Ty really owned him. I'm pretty sure Pop is sleeping better than Ty tonight.

So much for "owning" Pop. Corbin didn't even give clear instructions to Williams who was going to shoot. The fact someone called trying to get a steal first before fouling in a game we lost "a masterpiece" is a testament on how much the standard has been lowered and how pathetic the coach really is...

Oh, so the actual play was what we all thought it was - another Randy Foye 3 after he'd been sitting on the bench for well over an entire quarter. Those have a success rate of about 0% if my math is correct.

Obvious troll thread is obvious. Fail Frank. Fail.
