They have earned it.

You have 2 wins, so what you are doing isn't working. Can you not adjust.

Also, please stop Hayward and Evans with the pink backpacks already. Gets old and after what the team has been through theynare not rooks.

If you insist they keep them then why is Favors not sporting Pink?

Reppppppppped, Favors and Hayward need to start. Move Sap to the bench where maybe he gets re energized and plays with the fire he played with last year and the years before that. He just doesn't have anything in the tank right now.

Favors has to keep down his fouls though

Harris - 48 min
Hayward - 48 min
Millsap - 48 min
Favors - 48 min
Jefferson - 48 min

-
Everyone else = foul trouble time/garbage time after the other team is blown out by 40+ (ie. most nights)

Need to shut down Millsap and let him heal. The season is over.

Absolutely. I know he wanted to play last night, but he had no business hibbling up and down the court when Car'Mare are jogging towards 60+ points.

If we lose the Toronto game (which could ironically help our NJ pick) it is time to the let the young fellas play big minutes. I think we can all agree Bell needs to see his time diminished quite a bit and no more Price or Elson at all. Give Favors some of Millsap's minutes.

like I said before this roadie started, we are 4 losses away from shutting this **** down. Sad.

The Grizz aren't gonna slip, IMO.

This whole thing could get worse when the few talented players in this year's draft decide to stay in school or go overseas.... we'll end up with two stiffs.

I don't understand why people are always so eager to see rookies cement bad habits before they have a chance to unlearn them. Hayward and Favors are getting playing time, but if they want more they need to earn more, not be given more. Winning teams don't give minutes, they make players earn them.

I would like to see Favors over Elson (unless Favors truly cannot stay in the game due to fouls).

But I'm not sure where Evans fits in. He's not big enough to bang inside with the big boys and doesn't have the skill level to help us out at the 3. Evans is a situational type player IMO. Sometimes he should play more than other times, depending on the matchup.

True, but I think Favors has certainly earned them..

Problem is that we are closed to being doomed in our playoff pursuit, so will it make any sense to play Raja 35 minutes and Hayward 10? This will be very strange i will probably have the opportunity to go watch the Grizzlies in a playoff game while the Jazz stay home. Is hell freezing over?

His rate of getting fouls, and lack of conditioning (IIRC, he said he was winded in a game where he played 15 minutes), disagrees with you.

I rather see him getting some hard fouls and learning to be tough on defense than playing the way the softass defense our team has put up lately.

Pretty sure Favors has looked more winded and his foul rate increased since his illness. Perhaps he's still battling the effects of the cold he had. I know for me, it can take weeks to get my conditioning and respiration back after being sick.

That's up to Corbin, but I can see many reasons for so doing.

Wildly unlikely things happen every day.

Playing winded will encourage bad habits. We want him to live up to his potential, not learn to take the easy way of doing things.

And what makes you think Raja has earned those minutes over hayward? I think hayward is just as good on D and twice as good on O. That means he's "earned" the minutes and Raja has been "given" the minutes. I agree with the topic, hayward should have the bulk of the playing time.

I don't understand why people are always so eager to see VETS cement bad habits before they have a chance to unlearn them. Bell and Miles are getting playing time, but if they want less they need to earn less, not be given more. Winning teams don't give minutes, they make players earn them.
