KOC did provide Corbin with the players he is stuck with. Perhaps it is time for the Jazz to stop emulating the past, and let Lindsey take over with the coach he wants, and see what he can do with the roster.

I'd love to see that. I'd love to see them just rip out the whole offensive system too. The whole league laughs at us because it is so predictable. Everyone knows how its ran except our players. They need to find a new one that best fits our team. Or one that is easier and more effective and likeable by our players. It might help with free agents.
I'm just tired of our desperate stubborness to hang onto the past and not evolve. It hasn't even won us anything anyways. An argument can be made that all the success the Jazz have ever had is because they were lucky to have drafted John, Karl, and Dwill. Its almost like more credit is given the Jazz organization and Jerry than the players themselves.
I don't see that happening. KOC is a relative newcomer to this organization, only here since the late 90s. The way things were ran with Sloan (and Johnson) then with Larry's involvement in te franchise, left KOC in a position where he wasn't the go-to guy, so to speak. Since Greg took over, this entire franchise has turned over in terms of faces. Sloan just left and took Johnson with him. Greg contributes very little (nothing) in terms of basketball substance. KOC finally has nobody to answer to (spare me on saying Greg is nuanced enough to know if KOC is effective or not from a non-basketball standpoint) and he can call the shots. No way after years of patience to obtain this position does he just relinquish it to Lindsey. We have no evidence to suggest Lindsey is even more than KOC's go-to guy on coffee refills.
Edit: this is a tangential rant and I'm not necessarily responding to you specifically with a lot of these tangents (downside to posting from iPhone -- type so slow I forget what I'm talking about).

I pretty much agree with this. I don't really think lindsey has much say at all. Just throws out ideas for KOC to say yes or no to. KOC is essential ly the brains behind everything now. I don't even think Randy Rigby even contributes much.

I think if the Jazz do not make the playoffs this season though, the ownership might finally want to change the status quo somehow. Their main preoccupation is to get their precious four games worth of playoff revenue. I think that preoccupation is one of the two likely reasons why the FO did not make a trade at the deadline. Yet, ever since then the Jazz have played horrible and it is likely they will not make the playoffs. Not making the playoffs I think will drastically amp up the pressure on the FO and coach by the ownership in wanting to see results. If the Jazz do not make any noticeable progress next season, I think there is a strong chance both Corbin and KOC are gone.

I don't know about that. The Jazz take pride in being patient. I think Corbins leash is about 5 years. They won't fire him until an argument can be made that he is failing with the core four, and they have that built in excuse that they are young. KOC's leash is even longer I think. A lot longer actually. Greg would have to just get a bug up his *** to take charge and clean house. He would have to just be fed up.
Our team has a bunch of vets who are about to leave, a bunch of young guys developing pretty well, no real point guard, and we're probably tanking to get Trey Burke.

Maybe, I do think profitability does play a big role in this though. If attendance keeps declining, and the Jazz are not a rising playoff contender within a few years, I really think the Millers would consider selling the team.

A lot of what is said here sounds about right, but still there have been numerous situations in which Corbin has made some bad decisions on playing time and matchups that cost us games. If he is learning from his mistakes, then he can move forward. But he seems to be making the same mistakes over and over, and that's why I feel a change needs to be made.
