But, we should not stay in the past. Kanter is good fit in OKC, we are a great team with Gobert/Favors, that´s AL what matters...
Kanter is a good fit in OKC for now. They are basically the Jazz with Deron Williams and Al Jefferson. Good but not great.
We won't know how good a fit he is long term until Ibaka and KD come back. Unfortunately OKC doesn't get to see that happen before they sign (or don't sign) Kanter to a contract at the end of the season.
When Ibaka and Durant return, they could be the best team in the NBA... Feeding Kanter is the easiest way to get assists for Russel and ESPN is alreeady discussing about Enes Kanter potentially beeing the 3rd Max-Player on the Thunder roster.... That could be a great team and no one has to score 30 points to win a game...
It's equally reasonable to believe that they will keep the ball in KD and Westbrook's hands and have Kanter come off the bench and add defense to the starting lineup. Same thing that we would have done with him if he stayed here.
Kanter does not need the ball in his hands, to score points in the game... If they resign Enes Kanter with a max deal, their is no way he will come off the bench. Like I added...
"Ibaka is one of the best defenders in the league and Durant also is one of the best defending SF´s in the league... They are winning despite of Kanter´s defensive shortcomings right now, with Ibaka and Durant back, they just will get better. ."
They do not need any defense, besides that... OKC always wanted a inside presence, if it was not for Kanter, they would sign Brook Lopez. Kanter was even a better fit, because he can run the floor like crazy.
It's possible that it works out like that, but it's not a foregone conclusion. Everything that you said could be true and the team could still find him more valuable coming off the bench.

If by crazy you mean awkward gait, poor positioning and then standing to watch as the ball transitions back to the other end, then I agree.
Yes, I agree with this... But if they want him to come of the bench, he will sign max deal with another team... He is to good, to come of the bench and OKC will not pay the max for a bench guy.
Good discussion, btw. I hope I don't sound like I'm completely anti-Kanter. I just feel that he is in the perfect situation right now with Ibaka and KD out for the season. It's basically his dream situation since he is Westbrook's best option on the court and this lack of defense doesn't hurt much in their system. I'm not convinced that once he becomes the 3rd or even 4th option that he will maintain his value on that particular team. His points will drop and his lack of defense could become more of a liability than it is right now.
I was anti Kanter myself and called him a traitor, because he was starting passing the ball and playing with emotion like before that shoulder injury. Future will show bro, but they could start a way to succeed. If they do so, they would be scary... He is playing like a center version of James Harden without the beard. Harden was also a crap defender, but they went to finals with him.
If I was Kanter, I also would accept a role of the bench, to play for a title...
Just because you brought it up ... Harden came off the bench. lol
a member telling a senior member he's not a fan .....being a Jazz fan doesn't mean we have to always go with the flow
