Could Kanter and Gobert have worked?

It's incredible how many Jazz fans are still trying to belittle Enes good performances searching for thousand excuses.

It's hard to admit the Jazz got screwed by the Kanter trade getting almost nothing in return for a potential All-Star player. The most funny thing I have read after the trade is that some posters wrote that Grant Jerret will be the Jazz future stretch four! No comment.

There was no rush to put Gobert in the starting lineup since we were not battling for the playoffs after the All-Star break...Jazz could keep Kanter in the starting lineup till the end of the season and then see what would have happened in summer. There were all speculations that he would have taken the Jazz qualifying offer.

Maybe they just dont want anymore of your bologna. Begone!

Kanter could easily work with Gobert. They can both shoot threes. Problem is Quin refuses to let bigs shoot and he wont put a five on a four. If we only switched Gobert onto Boozer and let the four take J. Hill they would never lose that game.

totally agree. Quinn is so flexible in how he wanted to utilize our bigs when we had Favors/Kanter/Gobert, and it was inevitable that one of them will be malcontent with their minutes/usage, I don't see how many can argue against that. Quinn reminds me of how Mike D'antoni with NYK, how he refused to change his "system" even though he knows it doesn't fit with his personnels ...

Lindsey couldn't even take the rights for Abrines instead of Pleiss.

Kanter was not then, nor is he now worth screwing with Gobert in any way shape or form. If is a travesty that Gobert was held back by Kanter as long as he was.

He is just considered as one of the best bigs in the NBA right now...

Like I told elephun, kanter can't do it hard against real teams. I don't care for the kanter fans and their bolgna.

Seems like teams with Kanter on them give up tons of points...oh well, it's not like that's important in the playoffs

With the current anemic scoring, the team really should've traded Favors instead Kanter and played Kanter enough minutes so he would resign. Imagine the frontline of Kanter and Gobert.

That would be a pretty decent front line. Almost half as good as favors and gobert.

Kanter didn't like it here, therefore we don't want Kanter.

BTW, so far this season, Kanter is averaging just under 20 mpg. How long till he demands a trade?

I am turkish but i have to admit that favors is the better two way player. Of course he is better on defense and from a individual perspective weaker on the offense. But he is the better team player on the offense. Picking Favors (with this contract) over Kanter (especially with this contract) was definetely the right choice because its easier to build around Favors than Kanter.

The Gasol/Z Bo comparison doesn't work because marc gasol is the best two way center in the nba and gobert has a looong way to go on offense.

He got his money so he's probably a lot more ok with what's going on.

What a dumb move by OKC though. They paid a man 80 million dollars to have him play 20 min a game off the bench.

Funny thing is, had he stayed here, he probably would have gotten more playing time and touches.

I think the same, the Jazz took the right decision to rely on Favors over Kanter, he is a more complete player.

But I still think the Jazz failed with Kanter's development.

Should of traded for MEyers Leonard before the 2012 draft like I was hyping him around here. I know Utah fans love white guys on the team and he is 7 foot1 and white and a great athlete. Baby Sabonis as the great Shaq has started calling him. He would of beena fan favorite with his boyish looks and him Hayward woukld of been models in Utah. But nah yall know more then me and that's why yalkl were hyping Kosta Doufus when I told yall he was garvbage
