Could We Use Trey Burke

as a backup point guard right now. He is averaging a skooch over 10 ppg in 17 minutes of PT with a 50% field goard percentage. It's just that our bench is so weak right now.

He just had a post saying something to the effect that what he regrets about time in Utah is that he tried to listen to the coaches. That's the guy you want on the team? Screw that and screw him. I'd rather just go sign Jamal Tinsley, he's probably still better at basketball than Trey Burke.

Link? I looked and couldn't find it.

There was an article today in the New York Post where it sounds like he is the Knicks best point guard right now but managment is forcing Horny to play the other two. If Neto were healthy I would not has posted this but man our bench blows right now. X isn't getting it done and Burks can't get in the game.

I don’t have a link but I’ve either heard or read the comment before. He said he spent too much time trying to be what the coaches wanted, and too little time “being [himself].”

He is signed to a contract with the New York Knicks who I don't believe have any interest in releasing him. And the trade deadline has passed. I don't understand the thread.

Something that they said on 1280 the zone. Not sure where they got the info. but they were reading from something he was quoted as saying. It was written as if he was sorry the way things went in Utah then at the end said the real mistake he made was listening to the coaches and trying to do what they said. Sorry I can't give a link I heard it on the radio and have no idea where they got it.

The differences between Trey Burke and Donovan Mitchell are staggering. Jazz don’t need Burke any more now than they did when they traded him.

I remember this quote from a while back. The hilarious part is that he acted like he was taking responsibility for his problems. He said something like he doesn't blame anyone but himself for his troubles, because he listened to the coaches instead of just playing his game.

Edit: Here's the quote:

I blame it on myself now. I can look back and I can say that it was me rather than them because I changed the way I played for the way they wanted me to play. That should never happen."

I mean, you have to be kind of a nutjob, to say you're taking responsibility for your problems, and in the same sentence somehow still blame the people you were blaming before.

Trey has a great career ahead of him as a tank commander in the NBA and then off to China. He's never going to play significant minutes for a winning team.

Former starting Jazz PGs I would rather sign than Burke because they're still better than he is so let's not talk about Trey ever again:
