I agree with this. I do think it’s debateable how much a redshirt year helps prepare a player for an NBA season and if that should be held against them. . . But I don’t think that bashing Simmons is warranted at all. His overall game is very, very good. I’m curious to see how well his game holds up if he can’t improve his outside shot, but he’s helping his team win games right now and get to the playoffs. He’s aided (significantly) by having guys like Embiid and Saric handle the scoring load, but he’s playing within the system and is getting the job done.Bashing Simmons makes posters look foolish. Many Jazz fans are being ridiculed around the world for this silly homerism. Same for the Sixers fans bashing DM.
Simmons is amazing. Spida is incredible. Enjoy great rookies entering the NBA and playing great basketball.
My point for this thread was to show how prolific Donovan has been as a scorer and #1 option for this team. Also to show how much room for improvement he has based on what guys comparable to him have done before going on to bigger and better things.
