Cousins demands a trade!

There's no doubt Cousins is a couple years behind on the maturity curve but this guy has elite center length and, unlike Al, is a good and talented passer. KOC would be foolish not to offer up a package for him.

Cousins is not a headcase. Not even close. He's immature compared to his peers and he throws temper tantrums at times, but he's not a thug and he's a great teammate. Just tends to wear his emotions on his sleeve. Calipari had no problem with him, at all. Cal's little girl still calls Demarcus at least weekly and refers to him as Uncle Demarcus. He's a good and fuuny guy. And a hell of a baller.

I think when people say headcase, they are referring to his lack of mental ability to figure out what a good shot is. His lack of mental ability to keep his body in proper shape. His lack of mental ability to stay calm and not let his temper get the best of him.

It would be a risk and IDK if I would trade Jefferson for him straight up.

Fair enough. I would break my hand getting my pen out of my pocket to sign a straight up deal. Problem I have is I don't know if the coach is a good fit for Demarcus. He needs to be manhandled for another year or two of maturity years.

IMO, a lot of the "bad" rep Cousins gets has a lot to do with the way the Kings use him.

I don't know of many post players who wouldn't be labeled "head cases" watching Evans and co chuck up 3s all the time. I don't blame Cousins for wanting to shoot the rock once he finally gets it once every 20 possessions.

A Jerry Sloan led Jazz would turn Cousins into a 20/10 machine.

I'm not so sure about Ty.....

But IMO, a Cousins for Jefferson trade is a no brainer. Younger, cheaper, and IMO, better player.

DeMarcus Cousins

for

Al Jefferson

Saves us 10 million, rids the Kings of their problems, and gives them someone who they can pass it to, to stop the flow of their offense or better known as the BLACK HOLE. The opportunity to pair Cousins and Favors would be something special, and really would be a force to be reckoned with, for many years.

Why would anyone want this guy? Yeah, he has huge potential, but the guy has huge red flags and bitches way too much. Definition of cancer. He needs anger management.

Sounds like you're splitting hairs, PKM. Either way, there were concerns about him, and here he is requesting/demanding a trade in the beginning of his 2nd year. That doesn't sit well with me.

Just the same, I'd take a gamble on him, considering Utah doesn't have much to lose at this point, and could just flip him if it didn't work out.

This.. not getting why people want to trade our best player for a immature thug. Yes, I called him a thug.

So what about Favors and Kanter? Or no longer important? O.o

Al jefferson is our best player?

All of a sudden it's perfectly clear why we only have 1 win this year.

No need to bash CJ, Raja, or Ty Corbin anymore folks. As long as Al Jefferson remains our best player, this team ain't going nowhere.

This team needs a shakeup, and Big Al makes 14 million. I'm pretty sure Dwight isn't coming, so Utah might want to start thinking outside the box. Tinsley and Howard have both had issues that would have made Jazz fans think we wouldn't consider them. That obviously wasn't the case.

Wow, I'd love to jump on this. Jefferson, Bell and Miles for Cousins. I think this may work too actually since the Kings are so far under the cap.

That said, the timing doesn't feel right. Bitching this early in the season is not a good sign, especially for a kid so young, who, if we traded for him, would be in an almost equally transition-like situation here. About 3-4 years from now and one or two teams later would probably be better. If we did get him though, I sure as hell wouldn't be upset.

I'll be honest.

If we can get Cousins for Al Jefferson, we'll be making off worse than the Lakers did with Gasol.

However, if Jazz fans think that Cousins is the missing link, then they haven't been watching this team.

We could have Shaq and Malone in their primes and still struggle to make the playoffs. This team's wings suck. Until they learn how to *gasp* pass and that *gasp* shots inside the painted area are better than jumpers, this team's offense will continue to be hit and miss.

For games that Hayward, Howard, and CJ's jumpers are on, we'll remain competitive. When they're off.... Expect blowouts.

There just aren't very many NBA teams that could survive playing CJ and Raja 20+ minutes. Realistically, both these players should be in the d-league.

Why do you think some people are such a big advocate of the Jefferson for Iguodala trade?
I definitely don't want Cousins, but Big Al for Iggy..... I'm on board! :-)

I wonder what Cousins is so upset about? And who's to say he wouldnt be just as upset here?

People saying hes just immature and thats not a big deal are just wrong. There are soooo many red flags around this guy that I don't know if I want him here even tho he has an immense amount of talent.

I would love to have the kid(salivating at the idea of a favors-cousins frontcourt), but I seriously doubt Cousins is traded. His agent has come out and said no such demand was made. This is Westphal throwing Cousins under the bus to save his own job.

Definately a concern, but he's on a rookie contract. This is a gamble that should be seriously considered at the right price. If he didn't have red flags, we'd have no chance at him.

Having said that, I'd be surprised if Utah could work a deal around Al. Someone will offer something better.
