Craig's List Trading

Should have tried that with Milt and 19-13 a few years ago. By now we'd have LBJ and Chris Bosh on the Jazz instead of with the Heat.

But the best part of the Porsche story is how he is now planning to sell the Porsche: he can't afford the constant repairs. My brother-in-law, back in the days he actually had some money (and before he was my in-law, unfortunately), once bought a Ferrari. He said he'd drive his dates by the repair shop in his other car and say, "look, there's my Ferrari." Apparently the car was in the shop twice as long as it was out; just not worth the hassle so he sold it.

I thought this was pretty amazing until I saw how hard he worked to get the Porche...

Ortiz spends five to six hours each day searching Craigslist for the right kind of swaps. Over the last two years and 14 trades. . . the Boxster was worth only $9,000

2 years of yearly full time work, haggling with other people, to make essentially $9,000... not exactly the most efficient way to spend your time.

I want to say I agree, but that's about how much time I spend on Jazzfanz a day. ****.
