I'm a burlesque dancer and I'm doing a Burlesque routine as a 1940s film noir character. The first song i'm singing is vikki carr - silencer...the second is where I strip and that's where i'm unsure. I'm looking for a sensual song but it has to have elements of crime jazz. Basically, I kill a man in the first song and the second song i'm stripping out of the evidence.

I looked at all the different soundtracks and found a lot of great stuff from jerry goldsmith and others from the earlier days but they are all too slow and depressing. I can't bump and grind to it...I should also mention that these songs are performed live with a 16 piece jazz band.

Any thoughts would be great and i'd prefer the second song to be only instrumental!

This song mostly works but lacks a little something something, i think it needs more breakdowns. It seems to only have that one really good part for bumping and grinding in the middle.

It has to be pre 1950s, it can be from any era before that. It's a 1940s themed act but i'm using Vikki Carr the Silencer for the first part even though its from the late 50s.

Well, ginnydee, that was a big-*** disappointment. Don't git me wrong, you're HOT, sho nuff. But....a damn hoser!? Even I have *some* standards, eh?
