I've always kind of wondered how the "general public" feels about this stuff. CRISPR-Cas9 is lovely because it's so dang easy to use.
First half was a pretty good intro, second part got into some weird slippery slope stuff.
I for one am super excited. We wouldn't have the modern world without the transistor. This seems to me to be so much bigger than that. I kinda think that as Star Trek came up short with its communicators our imaginations may come up short in some areas with this as well. This seems like it will both speed up our acquisition of knowledge and give us a capable tool with which to implement it. So cool
