Oh I get it now, this thread could be resumed as "the more sex scandals we hear from Ted the better for the people of America's health".

Kind of amazing that you would admit that the actual costs of ACA are in line with what the Republicans projected and about double what Obama predicted, but then say that the GOP are the ones who are not debating this issue in good faith. It's pretty clear that "deal with this issue in good faith" is actually a liberal synonym for "agree with us."

So the costs of ACA, which the CBO says are only speculative at this point, are precisely what the Republicans predicted? Really? Given that the article you cite makes it clear that the CBO estimates are a preliminary estimate, you should exercise a bit more hesitation to be crowing as you are.

Republicans did not deal in good faith, the rhetoric went far, far beyond merely projects an increase in HC costs, if that's what actually happens, but went into death panels, destruction of US economy, elimination of freedoms, etc. Here's just a sampling of quotes from Republican politicians. You tell me if these fit within your definition of "good faith."

Sen. Ted Cruz

"Look, we saw in Britain, Neville Chamberlain, who told the British people, 'Accept the Nazis. 'Yes, they'll dominate the continent of Europe, but that's not our problem. Let's appease them. Why? Because it can't be done. We can't possibly stand against them.' And in America there were voices that listened to that. I expect those same pundits who say it can't be done, had it been in the 1940s, we would have been listening to them."

N.H. State Rep. Bill O’Brien

"And what is Obamacare? It is a law as destructive to personal and individual liberty as the Fugitive Slave Act of 1850 that allowed slave owners to come to New Hampshire and seize African Americans and use the federal courts to take them back to federal… to slave states.”

Rep. Michele Bachmann

“That’s why we’re here: Because we’re saying let’s repeal this failure before it literally kills women, kills children, kills senior citizens. Let’s not do that. Let’s love people. Let’s care about people. Let’s repeal it now while we can.”

Rep. John Fleming

“Obamacare is the most dangerous piece of legislation ever passed in Congress.”

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin

"The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s ‘death panel’ so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their ‘level of productivity in society,’ whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil."

Maine Gov. Paul LePage

“We the people have been told there is no choice. You must buy health insurance or pay the new Gestapo—the IRS…Now that Congress can use the taxation power of the federal government to compel behavior or lack thereof, what’s next? More taxes if we don’t drive Toyota Priuses or if we eat too much junk food or maybe even pea soup?”

Idaho State Sen. Sheryll Nuxoll

“The insurance companies are creating their own tombs. Much like the Jews boarding the trains to concentration camps, private insurers are used by the feds to put the system in place because the federal government has no way to set up the exchange.”

Rep. Steve King

“If Obamacare is ever implemented and enforced, we will never recover from it. It is an unconstitutional takings (sic) of God-given American liberty.”

Rep. Ted Yoho

t’s a racist tax and I thought I might need to get to a sun tanning booth so I can come out and say I’ve been disenfranchised because I got taxed because of the color of my skin.”

Glenn Beck

“This is the end of prosperity in America forever, if this passes. This is the end of America as you know it.”

Sen.Tom Coburn

“I have a message for you: You’re going to die sooner…When you restrict the ability of the primary care givers in this country to do what is best for their senior patients, what you are doing is limiting their life expectancy.”

Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum

“I am a little bit of a student of history and I’ve seen what that, I believe, final death knell will be to America of having government control that very critical aspect of our life, which is access to the care that we need to stay alive.”

Wow.
That sounds like the republican party was never really willing to try to help make the ACA work for everyone

OMG, that would be like jews trying to make gas chambers more efficient for the Nazis.

Is there a better example of futility on JFC than watching Joe Bag debate politics and economics?

So it kind of seems like this story (the one about #cruzsexscandal) hasn't really gone anywhere. Is it BS?

Yep, unfortunately it appears that way. Crap! Of course, it does relieve one of the uncomfortable quandry of trying to figure out why any woman would want to have sex with Ted Cruz.

I don't really care if Cruz bagged a hundred miscellaneous women, any more than I care if Michelle is a man or Hillary is bi, or whatever Bill did. What we should really fear is sons and grandsons of Presidents becoming Presidents.

Probably always will be a positive correlation between Bible Bashers and Womanizers. Who else would ever listen. Someone who takes the Constitution as a Bible of sorts obviously can't negotiate the curves in international relations, and a good track record of fun times with women is obviously just the sort of mental balancing it takes to be a conservative.

So why do we just give Liberals all the breaks?

Lol repubs bashing Obamacare, their health care reform from the 90s is pretty hilarious. Obamacare seemed to be a great idea when a governor from mass proposed it. Or when the Heritage Foundation wrote about it. But it suddenly became "the worst legislation everrrrrrr" when a black democrat proposed it.

I'm happy to criticize liberals where they deserve it. For example, one of my greatest disappointments about Obama is his failure to prosecute aggressively all the Wall Street crooks who nearly destroyed our economy with their chicanery, or to do anything more to try to reform our financial system, meaning that it's only a matter of time before what happened in 2007-8, or something like it, is likely to occur again in the future. He has his head as far up the backside of Wall St. as do the the Republicans.

You're too biased to even consider giving thought to your post.

For once I agree with this guy.

#UniversalBrainwashing

I still think we can all agree that the number of Cruz sex scandals that are uncovered is proportional to the quality of the healthcare system in America.
