It was a dominant performance for sure, that was a dicey moment though.

Very dicey. I found it funny that the broadcast booth was crying for McCutchen to get a hit on that ball hit hard on the ground and stopped by Addison Russell. Official scorers and even people in the broadcast booth are a little too forgiving in those situations IMO. It hit him in the glove and if he comes up with it cleanly then it is at the very least a FC. The official scorer was right in this instance, it was an error IMO.
Overall, good performance aided by some good defense for the most part and a bit of luck like any game like this.

I think a message was sent to Cardinal Nation(players, fans, ownership, & employees), this Cubs team is ready to compete year in and out for the next 6-10 years at the very least. We lost game 1 and took it to them in the next 3. The talent we currently possess along with the talent we will be able to acquire with our payroll flexibility is a harbinger of bad news to come for the division and the NL in general.

Gotta be the year for the Cubs.
I'm already freaking out because I'll be in Sweden for the entirety of the World Series and need to find a way to watch the games if the Cubs are in it. Would be one of the biggest things to happen in sports in a looooong time. I should be able to stream it somehow, but I've also never been to Sweden and had a horrible time streaming the NBS Finals last Summer in Switzerland.
Hoping for a Cubs vs Indians World Series. The only consolation I'll have if the Cubs are ousted is not having to worry about missing history.
