I thought he was already picked.Add some toughness, good scoring instincts, and good shooting (again), making 5 good shooters/scorers all with defensive ability (warren is the only weak spot in D and it is mostly because he tends to gamble, not for lack of effort, on this squad he can gamble with impunity), and 2 all-world two-way players to boot. Not the one I wanted (had targeted Jerami Grant), but let's go with...
TJ Warren
I really like your team.Fred VanVleet
James Harden
Marcus Morris
Serge Ibaka
Rudy Gobert
I didn't see him on the front page. Maybe why he slid under the radar. Not many guys with +PER at this stage, but he is solid.
I really like your team.
That combo that someone else has though (tfivas maybe?) with curry and AD is probably the favorite though

Lillard

Middleton
Isaac
Adams
Hayward
Is the squad as of now.

Behold and tremble, ye mortals!
PG: Steph Curry
(returning from injury with something to prove = automatic MVP favorite)
SG: Danny Green
(lock-down defender, excellent shooter, complements Curry perfectly without needing to steal any thunder)
SF: TJ Warren
(hot scorer, can score from anywhere on the court, plays hard, multi-position and a tough cover for any defender)
PF: Paul Millsap
(extreme flexibility, quietly one of the most solid defenders in the league, can score when needed, maybe a perfect #3 option)
C: Anthony Davis (all-world defender, all-world 2-way player, deep in his prime, has Curry to fall back on, as he seems to need a star with him to get his best...so prepare to see his best. Also, MVP candidate)
Fred VanVleet
James Harden
Marcus Morris
Serge Ibaka
Rudy Gobert
Does anyone doubt Morris would get into George’s fragile head? Or think Ibaka is a role player averaging 16.0/8.3 this year despite playing just 27.5 minutes per game? That’s 20.9/10.8 per game per 36.
Your team is soft.
Oooh oooh let me try...Like your team but I'm bore so I'll counter.
Brogdan vs Van Fleet - I'd say a push. Both solid guards but not stars. PER's are similar. Scoring and assists are similar. Van Fleet a better shooter but Brogdan a better defender and more versatile on D. Push
Harden vs Butler - I mean Harden is better obviously, he's an all timer. But if there is anyone outside of Kawhi and Giannis I guess that you'd want to match up with Harden it has to be Butler, George, and Brogdan switching all over him. Still advantage Harden, though I think I've minimized that advantage as much as possible with my lineup
George vs Morris - George has the large advantage here. In pretty much every way.
Ibaka vs John Collins - I like Ibaka but he is very much a role player, and is getting ooollldddd. Collins is averaging 22, 10, 1.5 shooting 58% from the field, 41% from 3, a 23 PER and is like 23 year old. Ibaka is averaging 16 and 8, while shooting a nice 39% from 3. But he's nowhere near the offensive player Collins is. I'd say advantage Collins but probably not a gigantic one.
Gobert vs Turner - Gobert is the best rim protector in the league, bar none, but its been shown he can be neutralized a bit if he has to go out and defend the 3, which Turner will make him do as he's a 36% 3 point shooter for his career. Turner is probably the 2nd or 3rd best shot blocker in the league, and he will be parked in the paint all game making him very effective.
It's tough to beat the perimeter defensive lineup of Brogdan, Butler, and George with Turner locking down the paint. Plus having 4 knock down 3 point shooters, and another who is one of the best centers from 3.
Plus having Levert coming off the bench is awesome.
Therefore I have the best team, easy peasy.
Ibaka would straight up annihilate Collins. Dude’s a sieve.
Oooh oooh let me try...
Brogdan vs Curry.....ROFLMAO, I had to stop for a second cuz I almost peed myself. As if. Advantage: Curry ++++++
Butler vs Green.....good defensive match-up. Unfortunately for you, Green will be defending Butler, and defending well, but Butler will be forced to guard either Curry or help on Warren so he will be burning the candle at both ends in a rough way. Butler is up to the task but he will be stretched no doubt. Advantage: Butler ++
George vs Warren.....another good matchup, and George will take this handily 1v1, however we don't play that way and with George helping on multiple positions he will be pushed on D by Warren and Warren will have free reign to get in George's face and play gambling D. The advantage still goes to George but it isn't a big as you would think. Advantage: George ++
Collins vs Millsap.....the consummate professional and solid defender Millsap will effectively negate Collins. He is too crafty and experienced and Collins will be too busy helping defend AD as well. Millsap will have some very solid games here, and be the surprise of this series, but maybe not so much of a surprise. Advantage, albeit slight: Millsap
Turner vs Davis.....LOLOL, whew, that's a good one. This will be the toughest assignment Turner could draw and without help Davis will average 40. This alone will cause Beer's entire defensive scheme to shift and throw them out of alignment. Advantage: Davis ++++
So Log: 13 stars, Beer: 6.
Curry and Davis with solid support are just too much.
Just checked their head to heads this year. Collins averaging 19 and 12 ... Ibaka averaging 14 and 7. So ......
Plus just checked Morris latest, averaging a whopping 9 and 3 in his last 10. So that's good.
