Cy Watches Khris Middleton Play Basketball: Post-All Star Scouting

It looks like Middleton had yet another solid showing vs. the best Eastern Conference team.

19 points on 6/12 shooting
6/6 from FT line
5 assist
4 rebounds
1/4 from deep

Bout to take a shower and smoke a bowl and watch the 36 minutes Middleton played.

Middleton grabs the rebound, tries to go coast to coast, gets stopped, post up Korver for the turnaround baseline fader from about 15 out.

His stats tell us he's a pretty solid offensive player. I don't think many of us would disagree. How is he defensively though? He'd be at the 3, thus shifting Hayward to the 2.

Why would he be at the 3? Hayward is much more suited to guard 3's now with his extra size.

Middleton would be better to put at the 2 since he has a developed post game.

Because I figured he's 6'7" and played forward for them all year really with Knight and Giannis in the backcourt starting. He's also listed at small forward. Does he have the lateral quickness to defend 2's?

Yes, he plays 2 with Milwaukee. Him and Giannis guard teh same players, it d'esont matter.

Watching Middleton's defense, it's definitely good. Kind of reminds me of Hayward defensively this year. Good at playing passing lanes without over committing. Very good at closing out properly and not biting on shot fakes very good defensive stance and can stay in front of smaller guards and fight through screens.

From what cy is posting, he has no weakness apparently. I say he is the best player in the league.
Offer him the max and watch the chips roll in

Pretty much. Has had a few TO's so far from loose handles, but he is a jack of all trades w/ potential.

Just tweaked his ankle on a drive where he got sandwiched by Bazemore and Millsap.

I expected a more meaningful analysis than "look at all that goodness".

I will be able to draw better conclusions when I have watched more than 10 games in a row. Be patient.

Also, look at all this goodness.

Khris Middleton appears to have a floater. Scored 6 of his 19 points on floaters vs. Atlanta.
