DAL(6-19) @ UTA (16-10) - Gamethread

wtf Hayward? Its depressing knowing he can be shut down. Thats two straight games he's been off.

Is he really an all-star?

This is the first game I would say he flat out played bad in a long time. The OKC game he still got 17 points on good efficiency. The reason he didn't go off for more is because OKC chose to stick Roberson on Hayward, giving Hood the much easier matchup.

I disagree that he played flat out badly. He was looking pretty good for the first 3 quarters, he just wasnt taking a lot of shots, but he was making a lot of plays. He just wasnt able to get himself going.

Yea he was decent up until the fourth quarter. He had some really nice rebounds I thought.

He had two plays where he tried to throw alley-oops to Favors and Gobert where he probably should have just shot it and he got the rough end of a couple of calls/no calls. Just one of those games where he probably waited too long to get himself going.

I wonder what it feels like to shoot a jump shot that high off the ground. I might get 6'' of the ground on my jumper.
At this point my feet don't leave the floor.

In my heyday I might have gotten 4 inches lol.

Holy, what was that Diaw drive at 1:25 LOL

Gobert had another great game. His field goal percentage and pps continues to be off the charts. Loved the clutch bock near the end of the game. (Though Mike bibby, I mean Seth curry destroyed him on a drive right after that)

Lyles was great. Probably needs more minutes. Seems to always play well against Dallas.

Last game I attended was Dallas at the end of last year when the jazz lost. (Best seats I ever had) Knocking the jazz out of the playoffs and losing me about 900 bucks as well.

Much happier after last night's game

I like the vote of confidence Quin gave Hayward by calling the play for him off the late timeout. At the Sixers game, I noticed him doing the hang-dog thing after bad plays, in the huddle or away from the ball. He really needs to develop the "I screwed up, now you pay" Kobe/Stockton killer instinct.

The way he's been performing, one off game is not the end of the world. I thought he played pretty well against the Kings. I'm just disappointed for him because he probably wanted to showcase his skills on ESPN.

But with 7 turnovers, it was definitely an off-game. Turnovers were the only reason this game was close.

I didn't see the game, as I was giving 240 minutes of my life to Disney's overblown ode to the uncanny valley last night. But after watching these highlights, I am left a little raw. I'm talking about the Jazz' warm up outfits, of course.
