Dallas Mavericks @ Utah Jazz GAME THREAD (Airing on TNT, January 19th, 2012 - 8:30 pm Utah time)

You must be clairvoyant as well like myself. :) I still rather have Hayward and Burks get more minutes than Howard and remember how young Miles still is.

The only area that I see this still being a factor is in energy. He is a a 7 year pro and the longest tenured player currently on the team. He is young but after 7 years he should have hit his full potential.

Just in case anyone missed this, there was an actual play on the right block where Derrick Favors found Earl Watson driving in the lane. I got a little misty when I saw that, like the first time my puppy pooped outside.

I saw that. It was a good play and nice awarness by Favors. Hopefully he builds on that.

Yup, second assist of the season, yay!!!

Did you see Favor's reaction after that? It's the most animated I've seen him all season, which was then topped when he tried to take out the Dallas bench.

I don't think the ball even went to the Dallas bench. It was thrown somehwere between the hoop and the Dallas bench from what I could see. I don't think he was aiming at anyone as much as just throwing the ball. Still deserved a T though.

The ball actually hit someone directly in the head. When I first saw it I think he just lackadaisically tossed it, but he actually had some velocity on it.

I am sure it did hit some one. I just dont think he was aiming at anyone. WHo did it hit? Also yes it did have some force which is why I said throwing instead of tossing or something.

It was definitely dumb of him to throw the ball like that, but part of me doesn't blame him for the jobbing he got from the refs. Guess he'll just have to learn it's a superstars league and Dirk is still considered one.

To me it isn't about the T's. Favors was emotionally into this game in a way I hadn't seen before. Of course that meant super obvious travels and the ejection but it looked to me like the kid was really motivated. I'll be looking for some more of these kinds of efforts.

Good point. It was nice to see him play with some emotion. Hopefully he can get that happy medium of controlling it but expressing it more, like Paul and Al have been lately.

I liked how Kanter immediatly went to Favors to support him and calm him down. I want to see the two of them really get in sync with each other.

Agreed. Amazing sense of the moment for a 19 year old rookie. Kanter's a man. A true man. And he's just ****ing 19.
