Damian Lillard is the answer to our problem

How's about Donovan Mitchell for Dort, 5 x first round picks, and whatever expiring contracts we need to make it work.

OKC gets to cash in on the draft pick haul for a tremendous player. Why else get all those picks? We get a fast rebuild.

I get the sense that they're going to wait until they surge organically, then they'll hit the market hard with the picks. So they're a midseason candidate at best, I think.

But I definitely think them as a partner makes a ton of sense for both sides. But I also think they view Dort as a core piece.

Lmao the Lillard hate on here is comical at best. He has been better than Mitchell every single year he’s been in the league.

Dame was an awesome player. Is he still that player after his latest injury compounded with his age? He's 32 next season, and he's owed $140 million over the next three seasons.

Better than Mitchell every single year he's been in the league? Literally, they have been almost carbon copies of each other through 5 seasons. If Don would have been the main PG, I bet their assists would be more similar.

I'm down with this plan. If we have to trade Rudy for Donovan, might as well trade Don for Lillard. You don't get the chance to have two superstars very often. If Don wants to squander that opportunity, let him be on his own in POR.

If the rumors are true, this would not just be a trade for Lillard. This would be a trade to keep Rudy Gobert as well.

i mean, every year but this past season - even before he was injured he wasn't that good. and lillard isn't getting any younger - guys tend to get injured more often and their game tends to regress as they get older. and again, it doesn't solve the elephant in the room (length and defense) even if you think he's better than mitchell.

I’ve been pushing for a Dame trade. Like the inclusion of Morris and Hart. For those saying this doesn’t address our size and defense issue, look at the whole trade. Jazz guards are now 6’2 and 6’5 instead of two 6’1 guys and we get two defensive minded starters playing next to Gobert.
