I sure hope and pray that we get this shot blocking big man that we have desired for quite some time. Just imagine him and jefferson together at the same time or even Dampier coming off the bench so we have a shot blocker with both units. I say we give up on fesenko and let houston have him. We get Dampier and we have Tomic hopefully coming over next season. what do yall think of that plan by mr jbradshaw?

Dampier was such a force last season.
Why don't we try to trade for Ratliff. He was an all-star.

I agree with memo is money. Fes is >>> Dampier at this point.

Isn't the word that Damp is sort of a douchebag/headcase?

Regardless, Fes has more updside and is younger, and concidering whoever is signed is not going to get any significant minutes once Memo returns it's a no brainer. Fes>Damp

P.S. I have a feeling this might be the FO putting pressure on the Fes camp to get him in here by training camp.

What is this website? It seems like a blog from just a fan?

Seems like a fan is creating the buzz more than the jazz.

Unless somebody can tell me this site has cred?

As long as we get him pretty cheap, this would be a no brainer.
Are you guys kidding me with Fes? The dude is another version of Araújo.. big dumb and strong. Definitely wish he could develop into something, but we know he won't. I literally see every Jazz game and he hasn't given me anything to make me think he will develop into anything that will help us with a Championship. Plus he gets in foul trouble way too much.

On the other hand.. I'm not saying Dampier is still in his prime or that he will be our savior. But think about it. Is Memo really that much of a stopper on defense? Millsap plays better defense, but is too small. Jefferson is unproven on defense. Elson is ok, but not going to play that much..

On the other hand, Dampier can hang around with the bigs in the league better than anyone we have. When I say bigs, I mean like Bynum or Howard. No joke if we were to get him, I think we would be able to hang with Lakers size.

When was the last time we were deep in size?..
We need to make moves now! We can't always be getting ready for the future and not think about NOW! At least I'm pretty sure Deron is thinking that.

The only thing Fes and Rafa share in common is that they're both tall scrubs. Outside of that, they're completely different. Rafa had T-Rex arms and 0 athleticism but worked really, really hard, and Fesenko is an aloof dork with an absolutely supreme physical profile. The Jazz didn't re-sign Rafa because even Sloan could see he just wasn't physically cut out for the league, he had reached his ceiling. Fesenko is already better than Rafa and making fart jokes in the process. The way you approach their respective situations is different, especially since the Jazz have a massive need for an interior defensive presence and they likely won't have to spend much to roll the dice on Fes in the process.

Dampier would be a nice player to have, but the dude hit his ceiling years ago and is on the decline. While it would be nice to have what he would bring, he's not great at anything in particular and is certainly not a long-term answer, let alone the difference between Deron peacing out or staying.

We agree on one thing; Dampier is a great signing for cheap. So hooray.

Lol. I didn't mean the hard working part, because Rafa had all my respect in that sense.
I meant in the sense that they're not going to develop into anything, get in foul trouble to easy and don't know how to use they're size well enough to help us in any way.

Utah could emerge as a possible suitor? Wow, there's three weasel words in this one sentence. It's like saying I have a chance to become one of the candidates for an interview for a temporary position. Lazy journalism.
