Can we trade Harris, Jefferson, and the GS pick for Rondo and JOneal? Would much prefer that to shipping off Millsap

I just hope we don't give up Burks though. I don't know why, but I just like the guy.
I don't see us giving up Kanter or Favors, so I would assume Hayward or Burks would have to be sent.

He is a huge expiring contract. I doubt they will get any "young studs" for him, but they could get a slightly overpaid player.

While it would be tough to give up one of the big/young 4 I think it would be worth it if we could get a proven PG like Rondo. We have 4 young studs with a ton of potential, but no sure bets. Rondo is a sure bet. I would be in favor of moving one of the wings (Hayward/Burks) in a package if we could land him. We'll still most likely end up with (2) lottery picks this year where we should be able to land a quality prospect wing to replace the one we would lose in a Rondo deal. Now if it comes down to Boston wanting either Kanter/Favors then I probably stick to my guns and say no.

Hate to give up Sap and his competitiveness, but you do this trade if it's available. On a related note, I'm not sure why every one here seems to be swinging from Rondo's sack...Is he an upgrade from Harris? In some ways, yes, but he still can't shoot. In Boston they have 3 other guys that most teams focus on.

Even with Harris' play lately Rondo is a far better playmaker, scorer, defender, and rebounder.

Admittedly I haven't watched a lot of Rondo, but from what I've seen, his play making ability is what I liked the most about him.

No doubt and yeah the guy can't shoot very well at all, but the jumpshot has been improving. Despite not having much of a shot though the guy can drop 30 on any given night.
This. That's what drives me crazy about fanz that throw out 'can't shoot' in such generic terms. So what if he can't shoot .. if he can blow-by his guy and finish at the rim .. and have the court vision to dump it off .. and defend like a banshee.
It's guys that can't shoot OR get by their man OR defend their position that kills an offense .. regardless how well they can thread the needle.
Burks is exciting and I think he will thrive here.
I am a big Hayward fan, but he seems to need the right environment to thrive. I think Hayward has a better upside than Burks IF HE IS ON THE RIGHT TEAM AND COACH.
I do not think that is here.
To that end, I would trade Hayward. (Plus , I could see him play earlier since I am also on the East Coast
)

As much as i love Millsap, i would, without any hesitation, pull the trigger on this.... Question is, would Boston really bite?
