Do you really think the Jazz are legitimate title contenders this year? That's wild to me.
 
I don't even know why we're worried about this. The absolute worse case scenario is he shows just enough flashes to get money from some crappy team, but also doesn't play well enough that we can take the risk of matching.

Okay, fine. He hasn't been around at all and we've been doing great. If he wants to leave what we've got building here then more power to him. Bad contracts from a few years ago are decimating teams today, that doesn't fill me with confidence that someone will break the bank for Exum based on 20 or so games. But if they do, fine.

I think that when you get into position for an opportunity you should always take full advantage. To me the Jazz are currently a top 4 team in the league, and with X coming back I believe it's possible that they move even higher than that before the season is over. I would not pick them in a 7 game series against the Rockets or Warriors at this moment, but I would give them a chance... and if Exum plays at the level he appeared to be capable of prior to his injury...

I'll never kill someone for being a bit overly (imo) optimistic. I hope you are right!
